So, test rode with stock muff and Arrow headers for about 75miles. I did not like the power, it seemed to have low spots in the fueling. Last night I put the Delkevic 14" stubby on with a longer silencer insert. Power = pulls easier from low rpm's, smooth and liner. Sound = Cruising / steady throttle - just right. Stab the throttle and you hear it - that is ok. Decel on the other hand is too loud. It's not Popping per say, it's just louder and raspy. I will try some tweaks to compression braking in the RB and maybe less fuel in the table at certain RPM's at closed throttle.
Also I have asked Delkevic what their expected -db is between a 18" & 14".

Doesn't the RB need quite a few miles to adapt the short and long term fuel trims using the O2 sensors in particular? I'm sure a tuner here in the UK found that the Arrow headers and stock silencer provided the best power curve, at least when using a PCV.

Hi All,
In a early post in this Thread I mentioned the D-Mode switch does not work with the RB. That was FALSE!
Turns out the switch decided to bugger up at the same time I was installing the RB.
I pinged RB today and they set me straight, there product does not overwrite or block the ECU settings.
So after some OCD time tracing and giggling wires, I found a thread about dirty connections on the switch assy mounted to the bars and tried that and Viola. Whew another near Stealership visit averted. Now to clock some miles.

So...if it doesn't overwrite or block ECU settings, then it is just like a power commander with auto tune?

My understanding is that the RapidBike module is equivalent to a PCV plus O2 optimiser plus auto tune unit from Powercommander.

Just ‘14 and up? Wonder why no 1st gen? Or if it would work on a 1st gen?

RapidBike site states the 'traction control activation and management' that the YouTune controller offers is only available with Racing module (NOT the EVO).
Still; ~$1100 for performance gains + TC changes on the fly seems worth the investment.
Now to save, or wait for Christmas.

Not much of a update - All is working fine.
For the most part I bought this setup to be safe with running Headers & a Free Flow Muffler.
Smooth fueling and no drama.
I played with settings via the software, but pretty much allow the autotune to do it's thing. Last ride I avg 48MPG with a passenger and back roads riding.

Thanks for that. I have tried to read up on this device on various forums and am a little confused so if anyone can put me straight I would appreciate it. I have just put on arrow headers with OEM endcan and am getting it set up on dyno. Should I assume that this will set the bike up as perfectly as possible, depending on dyno techs skill, and it will not need any further tuning or device attaching? Or would adding Rapid Bike or PCV or something like that enhance the dyno tune...or just be pointless? Many thanks

A dyno with access to the stock ecu should be all you need.
I went with RB cause a dyno run/setup was going to be about $850 - unless I went 8+ hrs up state
Most feel a stock ecu setup on the dyno is the best way ,due to less add ons with close to if not the same results

Got bike back from Dyno last night. Initial impression is excellent. Smooth, linear, more torque and power. As I was already impressed with motor these improvements are the icing on the cake. Half hour commute took two hours this morning . Tech agreed that with eco remap any other tuning/add ons are not necessary.

The engine breaking is also a lot less which is a big improvement. With OEM I found that it made life a little difficult at times. I.e. when disengaging the cruise it was very harsh and also in the lower gears. That has vastly improved but when I upshift at pace (clutchless changes) I still find the breaking too much. I think I will get this sorted after my Sep trip to the Black Forest area. Any thoughts on the chart appreciated.
