I am looking into getting the evo bars in standard height as I don't think the high version will be suitable for me as I am 5'9". I have searched this forum but everyone seems to go with the high version of these bars. Does anyone know if the standard height evo bars need extended lines or cables?

Thanis in advance.

I measured the rise on the stock bars and they are approx the same as the standard adventure bars, so I can't see any reason your would need the alter cables or lines if you stay with those.
There are others who have added 1"-1.5" risers and have still run stock lines and cables, so again you should be fine.

2" rise and they start to get tight.

On my 1st Gen Tenere, I used the Rox risers with the Evo low bars and didn't need longer lines. Loosen the attach points on the steering head to relieve some stress at full lock.
