Power Commander V map anyone?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone out there has a good PCV map for an old 2010 without O2 optimisers they would be willing to share?
My bike has a full arrow system and UNI filters fitted.
The maps available from Power Commander are fairly simple and seem to take away fuel above 60% throttle.
My bike is surging when I roll off the throttle to coast between 2500-3500 rpm.
No tuning shops in my area so thought I would ask. Thanks in advance.

Don't know if you already found it but this thread just got moved to the ECU map sub-forum. You might find something interesting around here.

How did you even find a Power Commander for a 2010... All the ones I have found say 2011-2016 and I cant find a place in NZ to flash my ECU. I have almost given up at this point -.-

The closest reflash is Australia at around $500 +freight which is a problem in this crazy year.
Depending on your mods depends on the trims needed with PCv but any trims at cruise or low power settings are overruled by the ECU which maintains an AFR of 14.7 in the closed loop range. I have had an AFR gauge fitted for over a month now and have found it even controls the idle mixture. Reflash is your only option but be prepared to lose some MPG.

I am very happy to pay the $500+Freight to send it to Oz, From what I have found the company to use seems to be ECU-West, would you agree? :)

Thanks so much for the assist!

I have tons of maps I can help folks with...... Send me your email / mods / Etc... I can send you a few to try out. Once you send me your info, it might take me a day or so to send them over. Let me know.....

We have lots of maps for all types of mod "packages"..

Any results yet ?
Okay so I re-installed my freshly flashed ECU over the weekend aaaaaand not much has changed!
- The bike feels very much like it did before, no real performance difference.
I am pleased however, that the fueling will be less lean now (supposedly).
The issue with the power drop upon releasing the clutch all the way is still present.

all in all, I cant recommend it for the price I paid, total return job cost $1000NZD

That is a very questionable result. I had my Gen I ECU flashed using ECUnleashed and it was a night and day difference. Ditto for the flash I got on my Gen II via Chris Steedman at CJS Racing in the UK (he emailed the flash to a shop near me in Japan).

If I were you I would be asking for a refund.

Btw, make sure you're not in T mode. I rode in that for the first 10 seconds when I got my ECUnleashed Flash, was disappointed, then realized I was in T mode. Switched it to S mode and holy s***!

Not sure. Back then they were the only game in town so I used them, mailing my ECU all the way to AF1 Racing in TX in 2013 for the $450 flash. But when I got my Gen II in 2018 there were more alternatives. I ended up getting the flash I described above at half the price and it's a better flash as it was developed on a dyno. Is your bike flashed already?
