Hi all,

I'm hoping someone out there can help with a problem I'm trying to solve. I'm an advanced instructor and use PMR radio's to talk to pupils, I've got a great Autocom setup with a radio that fits under the seat (just!) but the cable to the headset is getting on my nerves and I'd like to be able to use the Scala setup I have in another helmet. Does anyone have a solution that works for them? Autocom used to have a an adapter called a Wire 3 that plugged into the headset put and connected to a Bluetooth headset but it's discontinued. Does anyone have a solution that works? I'd like to keep the PTT button if possible.

Cheers

What sort of interface do the radios have? Take a look at the Sena SR10, I have one that I use with a Rugged Radios hand held unit.

Thanks for the reply, I've tried an SR10 and it works ok until you bike power it along with the radio, the ground loop feedback is terrible and makes it unusable, I was really looking for a fit and forget set-up, I might have to revisit the SR-10 and power it with a power bank perhaps.

Add some ground loop isolators to the power lines for both the SR-10 and radio. They're readily available and cheap enough. It also helps to power and ground those two devices at the exact same contact points.
