They work, but you'll have to drill them out to work on the S-T (no biggie just a heads-up). And getting to the centerstand will be a bit challenging, but you'll get the hang of it quick enough.

Thanks for the heads up. No big deal. I was rummaging thru my spare parts boxes and found foot pegs from my 05 KX250 will fit as well as some knockoff KLR650 pegs will work. Minor adustments for both but another option.

One of the great features of the tenere is the ability for 2up riding. I'm Searching for an option to swap stock passenger pegs for something flatter, adjustable angle and more off road usuable. Options are limited for the Tenere, any suggestions? Any other bike models that would be a direct fit, some reading suggests FJR might be just that, if so what years

As I previously posted I found a spare set of KLR pegs were pretty much bolt on. KLR is same as 05 KX250 and YZ450 of same generation as well as XR70. Lots of options out there including Pivot pegz who make a Tenere specific model since you want ones that pivot.

I'd read all of the materials and decided that the Motorcycle Larry peg lowers were at least the starting place to solve my brides desires for foot placement. Unfortunately the website says they are sold out. I emailed them to see if they would be manufacturing more and forgot to indicate which extenders I needed. They did respond and asked for clarification, I gave it and haven't heard back. I've emailed again and haven't heard anything. I have also tried calling and get no answer or voice mail. I have to say I'm ruling them out as a solution at the present time.

My hope was to use their lowers and get some points with my wife and then hopefully later, I could find a Kuruyakin splined adapter that would work with the spacing of our brackets and possibly add floorboards for the win. Instead I'm sitting in the starting gate. As I remember, our footpads are interchangeable with those of the FJR, so check for these from WynnPro:

I also saw a super simple solution which looked pretty good on one guy's bike. He simply took the rubber pieces off and welded on some 1/4" aluminum plates, then applied some non-stick tape. Every little town has a welding shop.

I find the new, lower, farther forward, pax peg position a slight hinderance for me as I bump them sometimes with my size 11 boots while riding or with my calves when feet on the floor, peddling. For her comfort it's a worthwhile modification.

I thought I might do an update to the thread and consolidate what I've learned. I had another detailed discussion with the Dragin Lady (my Wife) and learned that floorboards were not that important but lowering and possibly moving the pegs forward was.

I can't find anyone that has used the Chinese pegs from Ebay, but it was the choice I settled on. After laying out all of the options for her my pillion came to the same conclusion so I ordered them. I guess we'll be the guinea pig. We liked that there is a range of adjustment on them although we have reservations as well. I think a solution can be put together with Kuryakyn components, but I'm not certain. Part number 8888 https://www.denniskirk.com/kuryakyn/gloss-black-splined-peg-adapter-mount-8888.p6102128.prd/6102128.sku is a splined adapter that might fit our bikes. I haven't tried it or measured it. That would allow a person to choose from their selection of splined pegs or floorboards. and could work in combination with the Motorcycle Larry brackets too. I think that the adapter could also be paired with their part number 8837 https://www.denniskirk.com/kuryakyn/2-inch-offsets-for-mounting-passenger-floorboards-8837.p497485.prd/497485.sku which is a 21/2" offset which would allow moving the peg down and/or forward and then you could choose from their array of products. I don't think it would look that great on our bikes, but whatever works.

My wife wound up not pushing for the floorboards, so I haven't tested if the WynnPro made boards are still available. I did read on another board that he was no longer making them. It really looks like a simple project to do though. Drill a couple of holes in a small piece of aluminum, countersink them and add some nuts and bolts.

I'll post something when I find out how the Ebay pegs work.

I have installed them and my wife has sat on the bike for the initial adjustment and has approved based on that. We have not ridden anywhere with them though. It may be a couple of weeks because she is going on a vacation with the girls. I have also taken the top box mount off for some other mods and she doesn't like riding without it. I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow and will give a ride report when I can.

Here are some pictures of the Chinese passenger foot pegs that were bought on Ebay. I don't really like buying Chinese stuff, but sometimes that's just what's a available. In this case, I thought they looked pretty good. They came well packaged and are nicely finished. I do wish the black was a bit duller, but you can't please everyone I guess. These may not be quite as strong as I'd like. I really think they will be fine, but I don't think I'd stand on them in any position but straight down over rough ground. On the other hand I'm 240 without gear.

The first picture I'm trying to show the male portion of the connectors. These are not true splined connectors. I think they're called pin and post. There are 4 places to put pins (the chrome pieces) on the male parts, but you only use 2 of them. By choosing which 2 you get a finer adjustment. That can be a strong joint, but it depends on the quality of the casting. The piece in the center of the picture is the part that lowers the peg and the piece on the right is what goes into the mount on the bike. It was drilled to accept the detent spring and I was able to install the plate for the detent ball to ride in, so they can be folded up. I didn't take a picture of that, but you can imagine that they will stick out a bit more.

These last two are just to show how they look installed. This is the position my wife chose for the installation and is pretty much a 45 degree angle. The length of the arm is about 1.75" center to center and this is probably an inch lower and 1.25 or so further forward than stock. Her initial impression was positive and it is close to the way she sat on my C10 Concours. We still need to do a test ride. With them mounted straight down, I think you'd get close to the whole 1.75" drop. The peg could be rotated and doesn't have to be flat necessarily. I hope this helps somebody and I'll report back in a few weeks when we've had a chance to ride with them.

Yes, they still fold like the OEM pegs. They won't hit anything the originals didn't, in fact it won't get close to as much as the originals. That could be good and bad cause the stick out further.

I finally got a chance to do a small ride on the bike with my wife, the Dragin Lady. We trailered out to Big Bend (I took two bikes) and did two separate day rides with her. One had a little easy dirt inside the park and the other was all street. The verdict was a thumbs up from the Mrs. She says she is now as comfortable on this bike as on the C10 Concours and that's a good thing. For reference she's a 5'4" 73Yo woman with a bad back. She has a bit of trouble getting on and off such a tall bike, but is quite comfortable once on her perch. I'm a little dubious about doing this, but at one point we were on some kinda rough wash board stuff that was bothering her back and she stood up on the pegs. I must say she did it well, because I didn't even feel her make the transition. She liked that too.
