1. can you measure total width?

2. pic from rear?
Hmm - they are currently not mounted but I know there are less than the handlebars.

And here is a picture, though not perfect for the purpose of evaluating. But they look barely asymmetrical.

And this one may be better

Mosko Motos panniers. I Love em + a givi top box. It's the perfect combo for me.
9 lbs each Mosko pannier + rack system (its the basic givi system)
Since the panniers are soft, you can expand and attach almost anything to them.

We did drop the bike a few times. Mostly it is on uneven terrain or campgrounds... You will at some point drop the bike if you get off the slab. I'd rather have a soft pannier then a dented box. For security we put stuff in top box. Panniers contain clothes

Holan Nomada Pro...38L each side but the left side is actually 31L because of the cutout. These are bike specific so the brackets fit tight which I like. Never leaked, locks work good, no problems at all.
Just looked at their page, they do look like a good deal. I'm wondering how they'd stack up with shipping, to the USA. 800 Euro with racks, all corners angled, looks viable.

Hi Pdrhound,

Overall width of the Caribou/Pelican & Hepco Becker setup is 37.5 inches and the difference between left and right Panier is only 3/4 of an inch, so barely noticeable (and far less than differently sized cases).

Has anyone tried to put something with color onto their S10? https://www.pelicancolorcase.com/products/pelican-1560-colors-series-blue-travel-protector-case-with-blue-handles-latches-customizable-accessory-bundles using the caribou kit and the Hepco/ Becker rack, if nothing else, it would be unique! The sand color would look great on a sand color S10. flip down, they have a number of colors.

I thought about the sand colored ones for my grey bike but ultimately thought it was easier to get the pre-drilled ones from Roger at Caribou. I liked the idea of a unique look too.

bnschroder,

Which Pelican cases are you using for the saddlebags? 1550's or 1520's or something else?

After a lot of reading/research I ended up getting Holan Nomada Pro.
I picked the 38/31L combo as they are narrower over all than even the OEM Yamaha panniers even though they have slightly larger capacity. A slim profile is important to me as I practice lane splitting.
The panniers is somewhat narrower (88 cm) than the handlebars.
FWIW, that's the measurement I got for the OEM panniers. I also lane-split so width matters. I'm thinking of selling them because I can't open them with my top box installed. Will check out the Holans.
