Organizing Garage. What a chore!!

Christophers shop and physical therapy center opened back up for business!! Almost a month of organizing every single drawer and box!! When You are injured, have time on your hands, and wiped out physically after just one hour of activity, it takes a long time.

I decided to do this because I was doing a simple differential/transmission gear oil change and it took me over 4 damn hours!! I spent more time looking for tools than the actual job. That was the final straw!! I was disgusted with myself for letting my garage get so out of hand. It is now better than I had it when I fabricated back in the 90's. I went back to my Navy CB's "CAN DO" attitude.

I even bought a fancy label machine and labeled everything. It is soooo much easier to work out of my little space now!!

I was a cop for 28 years. . . . both of my sons are cops now. . . . I'm proud of the job that I did, and more importantly how I did it. Only recently, I learned that the center two flags are now becoming a symbol of racism. (pure BS) The flag in the last picture is a flag that I found years ago, and noticed just last year. . . . that it's a 48 state flag. . . . made of what appears to be cotton, or a similar material. Don't know where it came from, but I know it's not going anywhere.

Just the average patriotic flag waiver, that loves his country. As I always assume everybody is for their respective countries. :)

WOWEE Robert!! Very nice. Reminds me to get a few of my flags hung. That is one big daddy shop!!

Educate me on ya flags.
American flag, Texas flag, and the two flags with blue lines represent honoring the sacrifices Law Enforcement has made to our communities. At least that's the way I see it. Very nice touch Robert.

If I was a better photographer . . . . the flag to the right of the "blue line" flags, IS a Texas flag. The picture with the solo flag is the 48 stater. In my defense, I didn't expect a reaction to the flags. . . . . with as many countries that are represented on the forum.

I very much respect not only our countries flag but other countries as well. It's part of who we are. Nothing wrong at all honoring those who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.

I have to say I love your labels. I don't have anywhere nearly as many tools and still find myself pulling the wrong drawer almost every singe time.
Me too!! The way I have it setup now is all my most used tools are in my 30 year old cart I dug out of the trash many years ago. The aluminum tray is where I toss the tools after I use them. Then when I have time I put them in the right drawer.

Monkey see monkey do!! Not wanting to outdo Robert. I appreciate the reminder that it is important to show my patriotism to all the men and women who served and presently serve our country. When I look at the flag it reminds me of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Chris - That'd last about till I'm knee deep into a project and Lord knows that I always have too many of those.

When it was better organized:

The trailer now lives under the deck in the back yard and a second workbench is to the left of the current kayak project. (Second coat of paint an hour ago)
Below is my normal. I need to shift things just to get through and would kill for the space in Sierra's garage.

The sign on the cabinets is a past Fathers Day gift from my daughter:

It's been a loooong time in the making. And, even now that it's here. . . . doesn't seem real. I have the same sign, above the tool boxes & between the flags, that came from my kids or wife. One of my favorite things, is that I don't have to keep my old cardboard box that I put down in the gravel drive way when I change my oil. My wife got a creeper well over 10 years ago, thinking that I could use it in the gravel; it will be used now. :)
