My 2016 (non ES) is about to roll over 100,000 kms, likely tomorrow. It's been a fantastic trouble free bike, easily the best bike I've had. Last month the left fork began leaking, I cleaned it with a Seal Saver and it's been dry since. A week later the right side started leaking and cleaning did not fix it so I have new seals and a spring compressor on order. They are original seals and the oil was last changed at 80k.
Yesterday I noticed a drop of oil under the shock and sure enough, it's now leaking too. Amazing that all three suspension components began leaking within a few weeks and few 1000 kms.
I can get the shock resealed at a local suspension shop for $400, and I'd add a stiffer spring for $200 more. The shop also sells Race Tech and quoted me $1900 for the shock with hydraulic preload. The costs are scary but there are no Canadian made options, and importing from Europe and USA incurs shipping, duty, broker fees, taxes and our dollar isn't worth s**t.
The Race Tech would be sprung and valved for my weights , but I haven't read much feedback about it here. Opinions welcomed.

If I was in Ontario I would give Accelerated technologies in Buckhorn Ont. a call.
I have used them in the past when I was doing some club racing and they have always been more than fair pricing wise.
They represent most of the major brands, Ohlins, Ktech, hyper pro, race tech, Wilbers, Penske, elka.

It is a shame Elka quit making products for the street bike market because they had a really nice shock for the Super Tenere. I know Jon Sharrard worked with Elka for many years back when he was crew chief for Jody Christy doing Superbike. I bet they could make the same shock anytime they wanted, but choose not to go after that market. I used and liked their shocks for many years, wish it was still available.

My first choice if I was looking would be a Penske. I have used them in the past and really like the build quality. I realize they don't offer a remote preload which is important to some people. Personally once I got mine dialed in I rarely need to make any adjustments.

I picked up a used Yacugar a couple of years ago and it is working fine. (Hyperpro is the same thing) But I wouldn't buy a new one with the other options that are out there. Just not 100% happy with the damping adjustments compared to the Penske I have used before. One or two clicks on the Penske was immediately noticeable. Yacugar does not respond near as well.

I have no personal experience, but have read many good things about the Stadium Suspension shocks. Canadian made and Accelerated technologies sells and services them. I think they are a bit new to the scene and probably don't have one on the shelf, but that is why dealing with Jon at Accelerated tech would make getting something from them probably a minor issue.

I currently get my shocks serviced in Moncton NB, but prior to this shop opening a couple of years ago I always shipped my stuff to Accelerated when I was racing. Great guys can't recommend them enough.

Give them a call or take a trip up and stop into the shop to discuss what options they have for your bike.
