With all due respect, I gotta disagree. Every one of my numerous drops have been on pavement. Thankfully all were relatively low speed, but without crash bars, the damage would have been expensive. (the one exception was a high side on the RT; destroyed L/R crash bars, body panels, and one helmet. But, no hospital visit)

I do agree that you might not need indestructible bars. Here's the light weight, compact ones I use.

I agree with Sierra...
The wisest suggestion I have had here since I join the club last year was to install crash bar...
So far I can only say THANK YOU!!!!
It saved my panels twice, so far ( not my pride unfortunately.... )

I am with Sierra. I have only dropped my bike doing low speed drills and only dinged the paint on the crash bars instead of lots of $$ for body panels. Knowing most of the powder coaters around here makes it easy to get the bars repainted.......If I ever feel the need *L*
