I’m looking to sell my factory saddlebags once I purchase a new set. Is there a market for the factory bags considering that the ignition key opens the factory bag locks? Or are aftermarket locks available?

Every bike came with three locks, two for the saddlebags and one for the top box, all keyed to the ignition. Failing that, the locks are available thru Yamaha or online and can be re-keyed by any decent locksmith to the new owner's ignition key. some prefer to buy a shorter key blank just to use in the boxes, to avoid the possibility of breaking off the ignition key too. Ilco X254 is supposed to fit, though I haven't tried it myself.

That’s great info! Thank you.
