The bikes done nearly 29k miles, so I was wondering how long does it take before it needs replaceing? This is not a for looks, sound or weight reason, just has anyone done 50k plus miles with the OE can?

Thanks for the responces and especially the advice from Scott and dmulk ;) The reason I asked this is someone is selling an Acrapovic for £450 on a Facebook S10 groupe I'm in. But I think I've spent enough on her so far this year.

I’d replace it just based on it’s weight alone, it’s CRAZY HEAVY!!

I know this thread was specifically about the maintenance but after running stock for a couple years I replaced mine with a Delkevic 14in Stubby and so far I'm very happy with the mellow sound and the weight. The price was hard to beat also. I think Delkevic is based out of the UK too. You might want to consider it if you ever get to feeling like changing it. Cheers!
