Certainty worth the view, reminds us that the highway is a very dangerous place.
WE need to exercise caution, this guy was riding in a way that invited disaster. May he RIP.......

The biggest accident I've had was the American version of this, with a Toyota station wagon turning (to his left) in front of me from a turn lane. I hit behind the rear wheel, cleared the roof of the station wagon, and the driver also said that he didn't see me. I only had to spend a night in the hospital and replace my bike. This guy and I both landed on our heads, the difference is that I only destroyed my helmet and suffered a concussion and strained neck. The camera on this guy's helmet touches the lettering on the chest of his jacket, visible in the mirror.

Very scary and too easy to happen!

That was almost 40 years ago and ever since, I flip on the high beam and leave it on when I see somebody in the turn lane like this.

This sort of scenario is played out every day on UK and most likely every other country in the world too. He looked to be travelling way too fast for the conditions and neither he or the car driver had time to take evasive action. Looking at the position of his speedo needle in the video footage, he was doing around 90mph, before hitting the car. The speed limit there was likely to be 60mph and there would have been plenty of road signs further back along the road, warning him that there was a junction coming up. Both of these were ignored and sadly, he paid the ultimate price. Sometimes, car drivers behaviour on the roads is bordering on the lunatic and sometimes, so is ours. Rest in eternal peace David. :(
