Hi to all.
Finally accepted I’m too old and the wrong shape (aka fat, haha) for sports bikes, and have picked up a bike that’s been on my wanted list for many years, a 1990 Xtz750.
Been unloved but well used, so currently working way through miles of bodged up
wiring etc. Was sitting for about 18mths so full service and a lot of effort and it’s just passed MoT 1st time. So very pleased so far. Rides really nice for a 31 year old.
Bought it originally just to use as a winter ride as never really done much winter riding. But already started planning and researching what I’m gonna do to it…..haha…. So stand by for the stupid questions…..
Cheers.

I'm thinkin' that if we can talk about KTMs, Harleys, and Beemers . . . . we can surely talk about Tenere lights. (as in light weight Teneres :D)

Greetings from NY and welcome aboard this forum.
Another great Japanese bike that was never offered in the US market.
I really like the "Daktari" paint scheme....

What a beauty. Only ever seen one, probably the only one here. It got into the States by some miracle of paperwork slight of hand.

Rented one in France years ago and like the T700 must be, the old XTZs were fantastic for Euro riding in the tight traffic of Toulouse & small backroads & villages. Better than our 1200s on cobbles.
