Its not under extended warranty. I changed out the CCT about 3 months ago because it had been making a bunch of noise. I didn't have any issues re-timing the cams then. The intakes do have some carbon build up. Not a lot but probably more than A bike with 24,000 miles should have.

Does anyone know if its an interference motor? It doesn't really specify in the manual.

Sounds like you will find 2 bent valves, but in regards to the original code, and since it has not been mentioned yet, did you plug the air box temp sensor plug back in when replacing the airbox? Like the breather hose on the bottom, it sometimes gets missed.

Good luck and I hope it's not the worst case scenario.

Well, I got all the codes cleared. However the bike did not pass the leak down test. Cylinder #1 was fine. I could put over 55psi in the cylinder and the valves would hold and it would try to push the cylinder back down. Cylinder #2 did not pass the test. It wouldn't hold over 25psi and was obviously leaking by the intake valves. I propped open the butterfly valves while doing this to watch the valves. Pretty sure that the exhausts are fine because the exhaust cam had always been timed correctly. It was the intake that I majorly missed the mark.

At this point I;m probably going to call the local dealer and discuss the issue and see if they can provide some type of faith based estimate. Granted it will need to be stripped before ordering parts.

I will say this is that the self-diagnosis on these new fangled machines is pretty impressive. As long as you have a list of the codes, it sure does make trouble shooting easy.

Thanks Everybody.

You are guessing until you remove the valve cover to see if the cams are in time.

My exhaust cam was almost 180* out of time.
