So I did my due diligence and read through the forum and ended up on this thread.

Symptom: No Headlights, No Blown fuses.

Expecting the worst I started looking at the problem working forward of the relay as that seemed to have power.

Starting at the simpler things is always the best answer........ but there is no way both headlights bulbs have blown ?

Guess what dumb ass had two blown bulbs !!

Lot cheaper than a new ECU !

Hello All,
Reviving this old thread as I faced the same type of issue on my 2012 model but the other way around: the ground wire between the ECU and the headlight relay is permanently providing power...meaning even if I switch off the engine and remove the key...the headlight remains on....I ended up installing a switch to manually turn it off and on....can't understand why I would spend 900 usd on a new ECU...living with a manual headlight switch is not bad...takes time to get used to...the only risk is keeping it on for a long period after the bike is parked..then you would need a jumpstarter or a new battery...

If you want you could install a relay, triggered by a ignition-on circuit, that opens the head light circuit whenever you switch off the key.
