Did just shy of 1,000 miles this weekend between a trip up to the Finger Lakes in New York, the Jersey Shore for a Polar Bear ride and down to Delaware to visit friends. I should have close to 8,000 by 5 March when I'll be leaving for Florida to go down for bike week.

Just did my early 8,000 mile service at 7,130 miles. Now I'm all set for the trip to Florida tomorrow. Planning to leave around 17:00 which should bring me down there around 09:30 ish Friday. I'm basically going to be doing the speed limit +/- 5 mph as I'm going to make the iron butt 1,000 mile saddle sore run as I've done the 1,000 mile runs a few times in under 24 hours but never went for the IBA challenge.

Here's the ride I took and documented for the Iron Butt Association to get my SS1000 awards. In total it took about 18 hours roughly from my home town at 17:00 yesterday to Ormond Beach, FL today at 12:00 and did 1,030 GPS miles vs. the S10 said I did 1,064 miles. Was a great ride for me and the 4th time I've ridden down here on a bike and my 4th bike doing it on. I'll likely have close to 12,000 miles by the time I get home on the 16th.

Just this morning on my way back home from Florida I passed 10,000 miles! From now on I'll only update the mileage milestones every 5,000 miles. The bike was amazing for this trip, I probably averaged about 48 mpg the whole trip with best being to/from Key West starting and ending in Key Largo where that tank got me 56 mpg. Worst was on the way up with me doing 80 mph the while tank and I got 40 mpg. Had no issues at all and this trip had a couple firsts. First time I rode to/from Florida by myself and the first time I did both trips in one shot. I'm probably going to be doing a trip later in the year over to Colorado as well.

No bet really, though I'd like to ride more than my dad one year. Last year I did 19,400 miles roughly on my FZ-07 and S10. My dad did 28k or so between his two Harleys. So I'm going to try and put 30k on this year. Only 20k more to go in ~9 1/2 months.

It's been a little while thanks to the COVID-19 nonsense but I just did most of the 12,000 mile service. Only thing I left out were the plugs as I didn't think it to be necessary to replace them at 12,000 miles. I could be wrong however depending what everyone else does. But I'm starting to ride a bit more, not like normal but a good 1/4-1/3 as much. I'd likely have about 16,000 miles if things were as normal. I'll likely need tires in the next 3,000-5,000 miles as I was expecting. I also changed the final drive gear oil, going to do it every 8,000 miles from now on. Hope everyone else is able to ride even just a little bit and hope everyone is safe/healthy.

It has been a little while since I've updated but everything is going well with the S10 and I. Yesterday I passed 15,000 miles on the bike and to boot beat two records on the bike for me. Best average mpg over a tank of 65.4 (via Fuelly) mpg and the tank before that which averaged 60.6 mpg (via Fuelly) I got my best tank trip of 302 miles out of just under 5 gallons of fuel!

Side note, does anyone know how I can edit my first post again to add this mileage milestone to it since I don't seem to see an edit hyperlink anymore?

Much has passed in your absence. Due unforeseen circumstances. . . . ability to edit your posts has been reduced to a limited amount of time. But, I think I read, if you want to change something, click on the "report" link. Then explain what you want to change. and the bosses will take care of it. I would imagine that if you send a DM to an administrator, with your change requests, it will be taken care of also.

Welcome back. :)

What was your average speed when you got such great mileage? Best I have done has been 50 mpg but I have waaaaaay less miles on my bike than you. Might be my engine hasn't loosened up yet.
