Howdy everyone and I’ve got a big service update. My Ténéré is doing very well and just got her back today after dropping off at Action Yamaha of NJ for valves adjusted, oil & filter, fluids flushed and bled, brake pads, brake switch recall, new Michelin Road 6 tires, rear gear oil, lubed steering head bearings, and a few others I’m possibly forgetting. I have the valve clearances posted on the repair order and exhaust was on the loose end, intake were right in the middle basically. 029692F0-0DCA-45B1-9F67-D37DAE0F8ACE.jpeg66A2AFB7-85AA-4B15-B592-5216E8477433.jpeg
Expensive, yeah. But very worth it and I’m so far happy with their work at Action Yamaha. I also was able to put my new Givi top case on.522F47AB-B7CC-4FD7-BB3D-82FDE53776D2.jpegFA39EFB9-2C74-4A92-A36C-303BFDABD148.jpeg68144DFC-FC82-407E-9F57-063B5D8CFCB5.jpeg60F66F05-05AB-4C6E-AFF8-97C6AB8EF29F.jpeg

Action Yamaha is 20 minutes down the road from me. Good to know they know what a Tenere is and able to work on it. Gives me some hope. Keep us posted on any issues please. Also, if you want to meet up for a ride, let me know. Glad all is well.

So far so good! Bikes running very well. I’ve done just about 1,000 miles since getting it back from service. So far I really like how the Road 6 tires handle. Which is to be expected since I haven’t worn out the center tread yet haha.

It is a truly sad day on one hand today, and a great day on the other. Over the passed month or so I have been starting to miss having a naked bike. So, after a bit of research and getting lucky and finding a dealer with one just unpacked. I traded my Ténéré in for a 2022 Yamaha MT-07. The Ténéré is an amazing bike after ~33,525 miles but it’s time to go back to my usual motorcycle format of naked sportbike.

If anyone has any interest in this bike go call Hanover Powersports, ask for George as he was extremely helpful and also owns a Ténéré!

Thank You for everyone on this forum for all the help over the passed nearly 3 years.

Good luck with your new ride. I think it's a more common move to go from the MT-07 to the T-12, but hey . . . . if that what you prefer. Be safe.

Hopefully it works out well for you, its another twin cylinder engine, I sure don’t understand why twins are so popular.
Any idea what the horsepower is ?
I know it’ll work out well, I’ve had two FZ-07s in the passed and loved them very much. I wanted to try a bigger adventure touring bike and for me the Ténéré was perfect for that. I have a bigger goal to hit now as I gotta put at least 33,525 miles on this MT-07 before I decide to get rid of it.

I was also looking into the T7 as well but decided to stick with ol’ reliable as the size and weight are perfect to me. I’ll keep checking in on the forum occasionally. If anyone has any questions ask away. If the new owner is on here you can continue posting as well.
