Tanya got new shoes this morning. Michelin Anakee Adventures. So far so good. A bit of gravel but need to scuff them in a bit more.

So how are these new tyres at highway speeds? Any vibrations or buzzy feelings.
How do they compare to the OEM tyres, my 2018 Tenere had Battlax types.
I'm running a set of Pirelli road tyres now, as I'm not an off road rider.
There OK on gravel and peerfect at high speeds on tarmac.

No vibrations or buzzy feelings but I only took it up to about 70 as the highways were wet and I couldn’t find a dry parking lot to scuff them in. Put about 170 miles on them today with some wet gravel/sand so I’ll run the up to speed in the next couple of days. My battle wings had about 8650 miles with the rear just starting to get close to wear marks. So I replaced both. These are alleged to be 80/20 tires so we’ll see how the mileage goes.

80/20...from my observation in the pictures of your tyres they look like 80 % off road and 20 % highway??
The OEM Battlaxes were a great tyre likely 70 % road and 30% off road.
Depending on who is doing the ratings.
My Tenere is in storage for the winter, although I did get it out for a ride on Tuesday afternoon this week.
The fall season came to an abrupt end on October 30th..since then It's been cold along with intervals of snow.
I think I'm done until spring, hopefully early April short of a miracle with an opportunity for a ride in a warm spell during the winter.
I live in South western Ontario, Canada.
Crap climate it is.

I’m in the burbs of Houston so riding season never really ends. I’ll keep folks up to speed on the tires.

I have these on mine. i installed the rear first as my front still had some life. i commute on mine daily (basically exclusively) 160 miles round trip that is about 98% highway. ive got probably 16k+ on the rear with about 3/32nds left in the center.
theyve been pretty good for me. solid on the highway all the way up to 120+. at slower speeds (40ish), sometimes you could hear them "sing" a little (especially when they were new) but i usually have tunes going through my Sena so i rarely heard it.
on the very few chances i got to ride them someplace other than to work, they handled well in the corners and dirt on maintained dirt roads. ive gotten squirrelly in some mud but i feel thats to be expected on a 80/20 tire.

ill probably throw another rear on and then replace both when the time comes and i may try the new Dunlop tire that designed for similar use as the Michelins.

pretty sure Michelin is saying 80 road/ 20 offroad. the target market is people who ride adventure bikes that will most likely rarely see anything offroad more technical than a dirt or fire road.

it was a top pick for adventure/touring on revzilla.

Lucky you, I've been to Houston many times, but mostly in the summer months. I flew for Duke Energy a while ago. Good Mexican food, but it's a busy area..
As mentioned earlier I live in southern Ontario Canada. As a Canadian I can only visit the United States for roughly up to half a year in any given year.
Ride safely, I know it's hot there, but always wear your gear.

Great tires for the S10. I had a pair installed in mid-May and I have since put a bit under 3K miles on the clock so far.
Not a lot of serious off roading but enough rides on unpaved roads, gravel and hard pack dirt trails.
Like them very much on the slab, in the curves and when it rains.

Just curious, is Tanya the name of your wife or the name you give to your motorcycle? ;)
The Motorcycle. Tanya was the first name that came to mind. “ She who must be obeyed” wouldn’t see the humor of naming my motorcycle after her.

I thought your S10 was named Tanya because it is sort of a tan color.

BAHAHAAAA!! Greatness....I will be using that in the future.
The acronym is "SWMBO" for short ... In truth, it stands for "She Who Must Bend Over". The "Obey" version is used only when She is within earshot.

As to the Anakees, I also have a few thousand on them. They howl, but are noticeably better in rain than the OEMs. And around here it rains more often than not so that's a good thing.
