Not sure where this should go so please mod move where need be as I am retarded, I mean mentally ill. So far in my 70k miles of experiences my ass had noticed pain in my asshole. I've been through seats, oem stock(with nose job), low oem stock , saddle men tuned for 265lb, corbin turned for 270lb( with nose job). I am looking for something closer to the tenere 700 and have ridden it and was blown away at the comfort. I have noticed that most of the wider seats make sense if your taller rider at 6ft+. I am a midget, I mean height challenged at 5'5 and it's mostly useless. I noticed that the center channel makes a huge difference and even on a bicycle but found the the saddleen, which i owned too be super tall. Ive al also noticed across all seats is that they have much useless material. I also noticed this adds to their perceived value. 20191219_110144.jpg20191219_121401.jpg

maybe I have missed something .... did you buy a Corbin ? or are you wanting suggestions for a different seat ? personally the Corbin I have has been great for my tender butt. one time a long time ago , I rode a friends Tenere with a Russel day long seat , wow. it was great , but butt ugly on the bike . your yellow bike is awesome. hope your "ass" finds its new home.

Seat comfort is subjective.
I have had Corbin seats and I have always hated them. Why I kept trying them is beyond me... maybe because they're local. They are a literal pain in the butt, but I know plenty of people who love them and would never use anything else.
I love my RDL and will always use them, but they're not for everyone.
If you are experiencing pressure in your nether regions then you might try an airhawk with the middle channel and cut out for the boys. I used them in the past and found that they relieved my pain... but they do feel vague which I don't like.

Have you talked to Corbin about fashioning a seat for the T-12, but patterned after the T-7? Having their shop right there should help with the consultation.

So you actually rode a 700 Tenere with the stock seat and liked it ? I sat on a 700 Tenere last summer in Whitehorse Canada and to me it seemed even taller than my 1200 Tenere with a Rider Day Long seat.
If your looking for a seat that makes it easier to reach the ground with your feet I would recommend Corbin.

I'm thinking of it but have noticed they use molds for every seat so only the materials can be tuned. My current pan can be sent back but the wait time is 45 days+ and only reduces the cost by $100 something. Not worth it imo.

Yes I have one on my fz09 and it's good. Yes it's vague but I don't want to go that route

one can just ride standing up and the seat is no issue.
the stock seat on my Tenere would have my butt screaming after an hour or so . my buddy carrot can ride the stock seat all day long . so I ordered a Corbin for my 12 . its now on my 19 . after 7 or 8 hours you ( I ) start to notice it . but my butt has spent 12 plus hours a day on trips and it has been manageable , so I be happy with it . seat concepts was an option and my buddy carrot has a brand new one and has never used it , I've been wanting to borrow it just to see if it could be better for me . maybe I will try it soon. have you tried a seat concepts seat?

I cant imagine any seat is going to fix every thing , for me the stock seat was a killer after an hour or so . the Corbin , I can ride all day every day and by the end of the day my butt is ready to be off it . but no evil pain . my friend who had the Tenere with the Russle day long sold the bike , I was going to ask him for the seat but got busy and forgot , but man that seat does nothing for the looks of a bike . if you do long days buy the seat that helps you get there.

Friend had Seat Concepts so we traded one day for 180 miles, at first it felt pretty good but after 180 miles I was very happy to get my Corbin back. For me the Corbin worked mostly pretty good except on rough roads then the seat was simply a little to hard for me but if I got off and took a break the Corbin felt great when I got back on. I think the Corbin shape is excellent but the padding is just a little to firm for lots of folks.

Yes I’ve heard plenty of folks say RDL is ugly so maybe it doesn’t look the greatest but to me comfort is the main thing and it’s pretty rare for me to have a comfort problem with it, my only complaint is it’s a little to tall but I manage ok.

I'm at 5'5 and my current seat takes me to 34 inch inseam. I am at 28 inseam and still on top of the other seat issues. Not to be a dick but this is not the advice I'm looking for.

I don't know how important it is to have stock ground clearance, but if it's not that important to you, have you considered lowering bones? That might open your seat options, maybe? Just throwing out ideas in case you hadn't thought about it. I have them on my bike and I find the clearance is fine for me, but everyone is different. I'll never do more than a dirt road/fire trail FWIW.

Stock bones is not recommended as it will lower the leverage on the suspension. It's the last thing you should do and infact I would buy a completely different bike if that was an issue.

I've been thinking of getting a boob and butt job but now looking back it might not be a great idea and not because I might regret it but because sierra1 might find me less attractive.
