Greetings from Ukraine! After being a Super Tenere fan for several years, I finally bought my own bike just a couple of weeks ago. It's a matte black 2017 ES model with 7.5K km on it and a whole bunch of useful stuff like three Givi Trekker Outback panniers, crash bars, bash plate, LED lights, auxiliary lights, high Givi windscreen, etc. In fact, I just don't know what else I can add to it. It was pure luck because finding a fresh used S10 here in Ukraine is far from easy.

I got a 2008 Honda Transalp 700 as my first big bike back in 2015, and I enjoyed owning it, especially with not much to compare it to. But with a Super Tenere, this is a totally new experience, this is just a perfect bike for my needs. We do a lot of two-up long-distance traveling on all kinds of roads with my wife, and Transalp is not the best bike when it comes to two-up riding, especially with loads of stuff with you... I mean, it is OK, but far from great - primarily due to lack of power and no easy preload adjustments. After a recent trip to Romanian mountains this summer, I finally decided it was time to upgrade.

Isn't she a beauty?

Welcome from Kansas USA.
Congratulations on your new ride. I also went with the ES model. Didn't think much at the time about it. I find that the adjustable suspension is a great thing. Especially when I go from one up to two up riding with just a touch of a button
Enjoy the adventure and ride safe.

Thanks! I use that feature a lot because I change the bike load really often - sometimes all four preload modes are used within a normal day of riding. I will have to experiment more with the damping force adjustments, they seem to be more subtle, and it will take some time to learn what's good for what.

Welcome from Texas. It's been MY experience that the rebound/dampening adjustments have a bigger effect when loaded up. It's been harder for me to feel the difference(s) when I am riding solo.

Great looking bike, congrats! Don't think I've ever seen the matte black before.

I'm originally from Chernivtsi, keep on meaning to visit one day.
