Hello all, new member and owner of a 2016 “60th anniversary”. Previous ride was a MT-10 which got totaled when i got rear ended 3 weeks ago. I’ve been looking at and been daydreaming some great trips and adventures with an S10 for a little while but couldn’t let go the MT-10(i really loved that ride), but thanks to that Acura driver, it forced me to make the move for an entirely different ride. The S10 is a obviously a completely different package, but so far i think i’ll really enjoy it, it will open new paths for me that was simply impossible with the MT-10.

Well, if you are planning some distant rides..the Super Tenere is THE best.
My 2018 is approaching 14,000 km since March 2019
Very comfortable, plenty of power, not a rocket.
Enjoy

Welcome from Texas. The T-12 doesn't have the motor of the MT-10, but it will handle as well. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Welcome from just outside Toronto. Glad you were not hurt in the accident, that could have been very serious. I did the free seat mod, bought an AirHawk and just got back from an 8500km round trip to Colorado for some serious off roading. With a few little issues the bike was able to keep up with the big Beemers (not being able to shut off traction control gave them the edge). As Shumba said it is not a rocket but in Sport mode it is not a slouch.
Enjoy and ride safe!

Welcome to the forum. You have a wonderful area to ride in. Wander up to Maine, wander down to New York. Lots of fun in Canada as well. Stay off the 401 connector. ;) Old Fort Niagara is an interesting stop if you're of a mind. Wander far, enjoy where the S10 will take you.

Salut COYOTE!
Welcome! From la BELLE PROVINCE!
You’re lucky to be alive! The kind of accident that I’ve fear the most on a motorcycle.
Hope you didn’t suffer much of contusions.

Good move that you’ve done! Stay with Yam!
I was convinced by a friend to look further in the S10. Before I had only eyes for the Honda AT! Don’t regret my choice!
Very low maintenance bike. Take your time to feel it in the loose and you will discover a pretty capable tractor! Bit heavy...but once in movement drive like a dream!
Cheers!
