Welcome to the forum. Lots of miles left in that bike. Check the spokes, just to be sure. (5mm allen, 52 In/Lbs) And be aware that if the second valve check/adjustment wasn't done, you may be over due. (Every 26k miles.) Most Super Tens have had the CCT replaced with the upgraded unit by this point. Look for a blue dot on the Cam Chain Tensioner. If it's there, you're good. If not, something to investigate. Might be some dealer records on the bike. They can look it up by VIN.

Hey, take a moment to put your location in your profile too. Really helps later when people respond to question and gives context to your posts. Not to mention helping with other riders looking to meet up in your area.

Eric,

Thanks for the welcome. I will for sure check to see if valves have been adjusted. I know the cam chain tensioner is the original and does make some noise for the first few seconds after startup. Will replace soon. The clutch basket was upgraded and so was the suspension on the bike.

Will for sure update my location. Looking for people to ride with in Western NC

Thanks again,

Sounds like a good plan. Mine failed on my '12 at 83k miles. A few have failed around 50k miles. If the valves haven't been checked, that would be a good time to have it done. It will get noisier on the right side on cold start ups before it fails. If you suspect it and it's gotten louder for a longer period during cold start ups, DON'T CHANGE THE OIL. Oil pressure helps the CCT do it's thing. Have it checked out before you change the oil, IF you have any doubts. I knew mine was getting bad, rattling on cold start up for 10-20 seconds, but was on a trip. When I got home, I changed the oil before taking it to the dealer for the valve service and CCT. It failed the moment I tried to start it after the oil change. :( I had to have it towed and it was a 4 month repair under warranty.

Odds are you will NOT have this issue! But it's good to be aware of it.

Welcome from Texas. There's guys on here that can rebuild this bike blindfolded, and answer ANY questions you have. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them.

Eric,
Thanks, I would hate to have that happen...I will make sure to get it changed out as soon as I can.
