Welcome from another Noob from Western NY. Like AVGeek, I used to live in the OC, while doing some schooling in Fullerton, and living in Yorba Linda. I loved cruising around on my VFR800, splitting lanes. Of course in NY, it’s hard enough to not get run down, as we have drivers with horrible manners and careless driving. They could never handle lane splitting, but it’s quite great in CA.

Southern Utah is a great place to ride. I graduated from University in Utah (U of U), and even as a CA native I fell in love with the great outdoors and such beautiful scenery. All the National Parks, to the areas East of Spanish Fork or even the mountains above Cedar City. Just watch for speed traps in some smaller, less populated counties.
