If you haven't read this thread on ADVRiders you really ought to read it. Greg in Australia fabricates parts for motorcycles and has an impact blue Super Tenere. He has a lot of pics in the thread with many different accessories and farkles. I hope this link is for page 51 or 52 where he has come up with a new can for the beast that sounds good with or without the baffle (sound bites included). It would look good on my black bike. No price yet, but it sure looks and sounds very tempting.

He has put in a bunch of off road miles with this bike too.

Man I just went back and had another listen, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds awesome with or without the baffle, doesn't seem to need re-mapping or anything either, bonus

MOrtiis,

I have to watch what I am doing this next 6 months. I can't take too much milk needed cash away from my soon to be daughter. Hmm, one bottle for you, one farkle for me!!!! No, she will have what she needs......a breast!!!

For those that plan riding through USFS land, isn't an approved spark arrestor required?

Another epiphany - carbon fiber exhaust cans break, metal cans get dented. Something tells me that a metal can might be preferred if one will be playing offroad. Thoughts?

Hi folks.

Strange,, I just went to log in but realized that I may never have registered ???
I check in here just about every day since the forum started (grown very well too - Congrats guys) but can really remember if I have ever had something to say.
In answer to the comment about the sturdiness of the carbon can.
Rest assured, it is well out of the way and well protected by the pillion pegs and rear rack and hand grips. Hell of alot less heat radiated compared to any of the steel or alloy products as well.

Here's one quick pic:

And the full details + video's are here:

I will be shipping these exhausts from around the 10th of November and will soon be launching a full header collector system to replace the Cat..
I will also have a replacement fabricated tubular pillion peg system very soon. ;D

I will make more of an effort to keep you all up to date.

Greg.

Hello Wasp,

I see you are doing great work at down under. I got a question for you . Is it possible to make the OEM exhaust little louder ?

Dunno Turk. I never looked into it as it is by design a very choked system.
It appears to be a mechanical baffle system (without any packing) so I guess you would only find out if one end was cut of to reveal the gizzards.

It is possible Turk, and in fact they will be shipping in about one week from today.
The MotorradWorks Cat>Back system is 100% plug and play, takes less than 30 minutes to fit, and requires no modification to your bike or any of the components removed.
The system includes stainless steel tailpipe (cat to muffler), carbon muffler, stainless/graphite composite gasket sleeve, H/D pipe clamp, and all hardware and hangers.
This system allows the re-fitting of OEM sidecover's and cast rear pegs and is compatible with Yamaha and SW-Motech pannier boxes.

As mentioned above, the system will be ready to ship after Nov 10 and is priced at $AU795+ and shipping will vary for location.

Please contact me by pm or e-mail to greg@waspworks.com for any further purchase inquiries so that we can leave this thread pure for other exhaust specific posts.

Greg
