Well, we have become a victim to the Trump travel ban from Europe, we had scheduled a holiday trip to Miami starting from this Saturday the 14th, just few hours after the travel ban enters to force. Our airliner is offering us to change the flight time until August the 20th, we need to decide it today, Friday the 13th. Assuming the travel restrictions could be prolonged for another month, i.e. until to half May, we are looking at the time frame of mid May to mid August. So what is the weather like in Miami May-August? I read from Wikipedia it is a rain season, so perhaps not best time for holidays?
If so, what other place in US would make sense to visit in that time where the weather would be nice (max 90 F, sunny), not too hot or rainy?

I’m not a Florida resident but have been there in July, the heat and humidity was very uncomfortable for me. Local residents obviously are able to tolerate that better than us northerners.
My advice for a summer vacation would be Tennessee or Colorado.

I didn't know there was a season for rain in FL, I swear it rained daily, but never for long. Now, that time IS hurricane season....no way to guess that one. I always liked the summers in Maine, New Hampshire, and up state New York is beautiful. I would agree with the Colorado suggestion, but Tennessee can get pretty warm/humid sometimes.

No-one is a "Victim" of the travel ban.....................It is for your own protection, as well as ours. Implemented to help slow the spread of a global Pandemic.
With that being said, Colorado is gorgeous in August! Come see the high-mountain country and you will be blown away.

For August? anywhere but Florida, too hot and too humid. Try the Rocky Mountains, the coast of Maine, the Pacific Northwest, Alaska. That's it, go to Alaska.

Thanks a lot to everybody, I successfully managed to change my ticket to JFK in June, from where we probably will be heading to New England and Canada for 2 weeks. Any suggestions for beautiful places and attractions on that direction are mostly welcome.
