Hey Guys! I am looking to do an "Adventure" tour next year with my Super Tenere. I usually do a nice long ride but i've been trying to do something a little different, I usually do the same old rides over and over again.. I want to try go somewhere new, explore different places. I'm looking for something like a 5-7 day max ride. Just need help with ideas and possibly some planning to make sure everything goes smooth! Anyone able to help?

How's it going Paul!

That's one crazy trek, how would you plan a ride like that? In my case I'm limited to time because I work full time, and would like to plan 5-6 days of a trip but not be riding 100% all the time. I'm kind of thinking something like 5-6 hours of riding a day, and the rest of the day spent relaxing. I think a trip like that is too far -- If I had all the time in the world (like if I was retired or something) i'd do it in a heart beat but I've got such limited time...

No planing needed just pack the bike and go. Ride 12 hrs a day no problem just take it easy you can relax when your 6 feet under. Why don’t you ride down to Romney with me in May for the weekend it’s only 800km and you get to meet some awesome guys. And there will be an awesome off road corse you can take when your down there.

I'm telling you Paul you are no regular human... I can't even drive for 12 hours -- I'd go flipping crazy! The reason I want to plan is because I actually want to stop / sleep / eat and explore -- I can't be in the saddle as long as you... I like to take my time and enjoy the scenery! You sound like my brother in law who rides for 12 hours a day at 160kph and some how manages to avoid the police LOL.

I'm looking at possibly riding up as far north as Cochrane (coincidence lol) and doing some kind of loop from there

You could leave a day early, have an overnight stop, and still participate at Romney. The bike won't mind.

Actually RichoChet, long runs in the saddle is not the ONLY attribute that makes Paul no-normal-human. ;)

Heya Paul! Not decided yet, now that I've got a 9 month old son I'm trying to spend as much free time as I can with him during my days off, I am probably going to do maybe 1 or 2 night trips at most this year, thinking maybe just north of Lake Superior and back home an interesting way.. amongst some other random rides up north in the Kawarthas or Muskokas. Not very exciting I know but I am definitely not trained to sit in the saddle that long! I did modify the seat to be more flat so I'm hoping that helps with my hips.

Sorry, I did not see this until today. I did not check the forum much over the winter.

I did this trip in 2016 from Chicago to Toronto and back. It was 5 days to Toronto, I had a conference to attend there, then two days back to Chicago. The only real plans I had were to stop in Escabana, MI and Sault St. Marie on the way up.

Basically every day I looked at where I was and where I wanted to get to and made motel reservations in the afternoon for that night. A daily afternoon stop at Tim Horton's for coffee was when I would choose. There are some great sites for riding in Ontario put up by the tourism boards up there. Start here and click on the links to the subregions.

Most important thing is if you see a gas station, fill up. I almost ran out of gas twice when I passed up fuel and thought I would have another option.

and to you, look forward to hearing about MABDR. plan on doing part of later this summer.
Did you ever do the MABDR last year? Seeing your post I am planning on doing Colorado this summer and would love to hear your experience with the S10 out there.

LOTS of S10s have done MABDR. We live near the central portion and it's a pretty ride.
