I'm thinking of swapping out my OEM shield for the V-Stream shield. I'm 5'9" & usually wear Arai XD-4 when I ride with the shielf position at its tallest setting. I've noticed a slight 'buzzing' and occasional severe buffeting at times during my ride. I noticed the wind just hits the leading edge of my visor and seems to create slight 'vibration' leading to the 'buzzing' sound. I tried lowering the shield to compensate and the wind just blasts me under the visor and hits my shoulders rendering use of my GPS/music uselss due to excessive wind noise. So, I thought I'd go slightly higher (V-Stream Shield) and see how that goes. For those who is using...or have tried the V-Stream shield, I'd like to hear what you guys think about it! Thanks!

I have the medium height V-Stream shield and used it all last winter. I am 6’ and look over this windshield. I always have my seat in the high position. For my height I’d like it to be a couple extra inches taller, the wind hits right at the beak of my helmet, although it is very smooth air that comes off the windshield. If I crouch only a couple inches it gets very very quiet and smooth. My guess would be for your height the V-Stream would be perfect, unless you have a very tall torso.

Had the tallest VStream on my previous 2013 Tenere and other than being slightly to tall for me it was great, yes I am also 5’9” tall.
For my new 2018 I bought the medium sized VStream, the height is about perfect for me, my only complaint is the tint I would prefer clear but they don’t have that option.
Yes I also use Arai XD helmets, they are usually pretty quiet but there are times with lots of wind where it’s not as quiet. Being around other vehicles like big trucks can cause what I call dirty air and there are times when that gets annoying.

Great! I'm guessing the 'medium' size you both speaking of is the 'sport/tourning' shield (N20320)? IF so, that's exactly what I was looking at. V-Stream seems to be more 'bowed' at the center, not flat like the OEM shield & taller at the center to deflect the wind flow higher...which is probably what I need to be in smoother/quieter zone. Thanks guys!
