Unfortunately I can't see the pictures!

A friend and myself both have Givi Toolboxes fitted to the Givi Outback rails in the standard way.

We did this before this thread was started and I fully understand that some people consider that this puts the toolbox too close to the rear brake caliper and could foul on hard compression.

Neither of us ride off road (intentionally!) and although we have been over some frightening bumps and sudden dips in the road which takes the S10 airborne we have not had a problem

I had the pictures linked to my Google Photos Album;
I have the suspect (because this happened already in the past some users reported they could not see pictures while others did)
that by linking to Google Photos the pics will be made available only if the person which is looking at the pase is actively signed in into his/her google account....

So i have broken the links and uploaded (it took forever from my slow ADSL..) the pics directly - please confirm those are now visible (as i do not have other options)

By doing so I however hit the max limit of 10 pics per post
so i moved here the last ones which didn't fit anymore in the post above

P.S. @Mike - our bikes look pretty similar man :D

cheers

Here is the Toolbox bolted to the mounted plate. I used a washer out of the toolbox (to keep the O-ring in position) a washer out of the plate and self locking nuts indeed...

and this is a picture with the pannier installed on the frame

The Alu plate which is 3mm thick is very light and at the same time does not flex at all.

Hoping not to bother the thread this is the solution i ended up with
I decided to CAD design a plate which is hold by the 4 existing bolts (exchanged with longer versions) which are in the Givi frame (2x M6 at bottom , 2x M8 at top)
The plate i made is 3mm thick alu and has a double bending at the top (to go just behind the luggage retention and locking mechanism at top)

And here is the mounting of the plate (lucky me my measurements were dead spot on at the 10th of mm...)

Prepping the tool box after drilling it...
I have inserted 6x1mm nitrile o-rings as the standard mounting practice suggests; that shall keep water out of the drilled holes
P.S. If anyone can benefit from the design here is the CAD file source for reusing
That is some extremely nice work. congrats on a job well done.

Thanks to Super08 plan, I also took courage and mounted the Givi tool box. Due to the lack of suitable blind nuts, I adjusted the additional brackets with two home-made clamps. The result is the same, and everything fits together nicely, so thanks again to Super08 for a great idea!

Hi guys, I have the same rack but with some soft cases attached. I guess it won't work, but maybe (I was hoping, at least) that one of you clever guys would be able to see a solution to where the toolbox could be mounted on the backside of this rack? The brackets on the backside stick out by about half an inch. There are two on the top and two on the bottom
