Mounting a Rotopax on '19 ES with Outback Motortek pannier racks

So, I installed my Outback Motortek pannier racks last weekend. Nice, solid kit. Got the good ones with the braces that are set for a Rotopax mount. Only room to put the Rotopax on the Right side, of course, because of exhaust on the left. Question to all: Will the 1.75 gallon Rotopax (dimensions 15" x 14" x 4" fit between the inside of the rack and the outside of the frame/tire/etc? Looks like there's room (no, I haven't measured yet. Work gets in the way). My thinking is there's room for the tank itself, but I'm concerned whether there's enough space to install the tank and access the screw that holds it in place? Any experience or thoughts appreciated.

I couldn’t get a 1 gallon to fit. There’s no way a 1.75 will fit.
Ouch! The 1 gallon and 1.75 are the same depth (about 4") but the 1.75 is a bit longer/wider in the longer dimensions if I'm reading it right. Well, I just ordered from Amazon (love the return policy) so we'll see. Thanks for the head's up!

See you're from the Black Hills. Bicycled through there with my wife on our CC trip in '87. Beautiful country! Simply magnificent.

I would be absolutely certain that if you attempt to mount a Rotopax "inside" of the Pannier-Rack on the right side, that the rear brake-caliper won't come in contact with it during suspension up-travel......

I have the same racks on the same year/model bike. Also have a 1 gallon rotopax I was looking at mounting there also but eyeballing it looks super close. As in too close to call unless I actually mounted it and was able to cycle the suspension through it's entire range checking for clearance. I decided to leave it mounted to my pelican case top box.

If you do get it to fit please advise.

Based on your anxiety, that of SkunkWorks, and my own having hand-placed it, it's too sketchy. Instead, I'm going to mount it to the pillion area and fabricate a tool box for "behind" the rack on the right side. It'll be 4" wide, but it won't be as deed and so should not (we'll see) have any realistic chance to impact the brake system. As soon a I get a minute, right?

Thanks for the help.
