I have a 6" Black Oak double row light bar on my ' 18 and am thinking of adding pod style lighting, one on either side . The light bar is below the headlights in that open space.
Can I get an idea for a mount for just pod lights and not having to go the crash bar route?
I'm open to alternative locations, but would like them up high near the level of the headlights or light bar.
I searched and didn't find this specifically addressed.
Thanks.
Jack

TABASCO here on the forum makes a slick little mount that goes up on the handlebars. They are sized for the Baja Designs S2 light, but i used them with small Lazer Star 10W spots I had.

Okay, I'm open to mounting lower. Has anyone done pod style lights mounted from the front fender bolts? They look pretty robust and solid.

I remember seeing mounts for that location early on, think they might have been Clearwater Lights?

Saw some info here that the constant turning of the front wheel could cause connectivity issues down the road.
I like that location, but not if it's going to be problematic.

Why do you want them high up? I'm going for conspicuous, I want a nice triangle of lights. The extras, low and outside.
I'm with you dannyv, in my opinion the purpose of extra lights is to cause other motorists see you. So mounting the lights in a triangular pattern is exactly what you want. I'm installing SW Motech crash bars on my new '18 S-Ten and using Piaa brackets (Amazon) to mount two LEDs on, (3540 lumens each side). In addition, I'm mounting one 6 1/2 inch LED (1500 lumens) below the headlights. I'm still pondering whether to wire the LED to the same on/off switch as the two LEDs on the crash bars or wire it into the low beam bike's headlight, or wire it into the high-beam...suggestions???
My primary purpose or use of additional lighting is to make myself visible to others.
Finally, get some crash bars, because they are an inexpensive form of insurance.
Crash bars saved my Africa Twin four times!!!!
