I like exotic character i love Italian bikes but dependability is first in line for the non spoiled like myself. The Tenere may seem like a Ford Ranger to some.
But it's been as like a Ranger, 95% dependable and resources for repairs are within reach anywhere. ::008::

Ford Ranger???? Ban him I say!!!

[j/k :p ]

I think of the Super Tenere more as motorcycling's Toyota Land Cruiser.

Definitely not a Ranger; the Tenere will never be considered a compact. The Tenere handles too well to be like the old FJ. Maybe a newer FJ Cruiser, or a four door JK; capable, with limitations. ::001::

Same for me Ramsybella. I would only buy the V85 if I could afford it in addition to my S10 (which I cant) so I wont be buying one...but would live one..they look so good

Some more info and there is evidence that a production version should be available early 2019 about the same time as the 700 Tenere twin!

This article says the final production version should be shown at EICMA in November with sales in January and priced from 11-12,000 Euros. The US market typically gets bikes at lower prices than the Europeans so the full retail price of 11000 Euros is currently $13,400.

16 inch front tyre?! Are we back on '80s sports bikes?

Obviously the front wheel size is a typo but the 15 litre tank makes this sound more like a styling exercise rather than a serious off road bike.

These specs look more like the current Roamer ....I doubt if they pertain to the V85 adventure bike

Sorry, but I also think this isn't correct.
130mm suspension travel front....97mm travel back.... No no.

While it'd be sorta in the range of pure street bikes that's 3.87" front and 5.1" rear, which does sound too little for a bike intended for occasional off-road.
For comparison, the Norge Sport is 4.7" and 5.5"

Now that you mention it, that is a list for a totally different and older model. The 16" tires, the hp matching the V9 motor, and the suspension travels are used for some of their streetbikes.
