Look at the outback skid plate, one draw back is that it bolts to their crash bars so you need both. Heavy duty set up.
It does have to come off for oil changes.

No longer manufacturedI saw this another site. Don't know if it is still made or what it is mounted to...
Problem with the Phils is the heat and limited cooling potential on some bikes. Does the ST run cool. My Husky Terra is now ok but was a pig to cool...
I don't see any exhaust pipe exposed in your Trex picture. I remember ACD having problems getting product out due to a relocation thing, hadn't heard they stopped producing. Can anyone speak to T-Rex's lower exhaust protection? This photo from their site, with the exhaust peeking down, keeps me from pulling the trigger. Or is it just an odd angle? For comparison, here is a HepocBecker that seems to have more coverage.
ACD doesn't appear to be making skidplates (for S10s) anymore.
Cat, behind skidplate.I don't see any exhaust pipe exposed in your Trex picture.
They are available again in Europe for both gen 1&2, in raw aluminimum and black. I've messaged them a few times today and they've confirmed availabilty.I hav considered mounting a piece of high density plastic to the bottom of mine. Kind of a glide/wear item. Especially now ACD is not making them any more.
100% this.Ours is the most bomb proof, no question.
For your Altrider, you could have someone weld a thicker plate to the bottom. That would help.
I’ve seen and worked every skid plate available.
What is yours TABASCO? Ah! Read your signature. Ride On... Can't find it though Eeejit Edit #4 Just read back through the rest of the post. Bespoke. Looks crucial!!Ours is the most bomb proof, no question.

Since the customer was a Marine, I'm assuming the most difficult part was deciphering the crayon drawing of what he wanted?

I can confirm with 100% that ACD is available to. I got mine a month ago and yes they were going through a relocation so production was halted for a good time period. They are available again in Europe for both gen 1&2, in raw aluminimum and black. I've messaged them a few times today and they've confirmed availabilty.
My favorite thing is how marines (like australians) dont call anything by its actual name it seems.I had never heard about Marines and their crayons until I met a buddy of mine. He's always referring to crayons. . . . eating them. . . . writing with them. Apparently it's a thing. On the other hand, the Force Recon guys I went to the Navy dive school with, never mentioned crayons.
Army.Ha ha, what branch did you serve?
