I tried a Sargent, a Laam and a Seat Comfort. Out of that bunch the Seat Comfort was the best, but still nothing to rave about. Recently I got a Terry Adcox custom seat and can't speak highly enough about it. True all day comfort.

I happen to be using a Corbin, its hard and slippery but actually works pretty decent for me.
Rode 50,000 miles on stock seat and any time the ride was over 200 miles in a day it was a little painful .
Tried a Seat Concepts for about 200 miles and it was better than stock but not much.
Terry Adcox seat sure looks comfortable but I have never ridden with one.
Russel Day Long has a very good reputation and I have ridden about 100 miles on one and thought it was great but it wasn’t on a Tenere.
Seats are a funny thing, a seat that works great for one person might seem very lousy for the next person.

I did a couple month long trip on the stock seat, put on a sheepskin cover and that's about it. Did a couple of 1000 mile days as well. Now I have a Seat Concepts seat. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on most comfortable, and just sitting on one in a parking lot or something like that doesn't give you much of an idea.

Fortunately, used seats pop up often for sale here so you can get a used one and try it. If it doesn't work, you can likely sell it for what you paid for it.

I just purchased a seat concept foam and cover for my tenere, will install it this weekend and provide feedback, I thought the stock seat wasn't bad, but after an hour or two I had to keep moving around, so hoping the Seat Concept will improve things. Will give feedback once it's installed.

Bill Mayer custom saddle for me. Best seat I’ve had on any bike so far. Not cheap though... The ride in appointment was convenient for me since they are based in Ventura where I live.

I has a Sargent. It was much better than stock if not the be all end all. Could go 1000 mile days no problem. Fair price and you have it in a week without sacrificing your stock seat.

Love mine, got rid of the slope. It’s a little higher than stock, let the foam break in a little, gets nice after few rides.

For long days in the saddle I just slap on my AirHawk.

This is true. What I didn't like about the Sargent is it sat me too far back in its pocket and the front was hard so I couldn't sit forward like I can on the stock or seat comfort. But a big guy would probably like it.

I bought the Russell Day Long last spring and can now do 8+ hours and the wife can do 4-ish hours without complaints.

Question for those with RDLs: Does the width of the seat get in the way of side cases that open from the top (e.g. Givi Outback)?

I have SW/MOTECH Trax boxs and there is no issue.

I bought Seat Concept with smooth vinyl seating and side surfaces. I don't like grippy seating of the stock seat. BTW, Seat Concept offers such a grippy option. The smooth vinyl lets me move around while riding.
For me it's the best seat ever. Ergonomically I couldn't wish for anything better.
It's slightly taller and wider than the stock seat and the last season I had several 7 + hours rides with absolutely no discomfort.
