Just got home from a great trip to Moab with five other big Adventure bike friends.
We had some wild times [Blizzard at the continental divide] and some fun camping around the fire.
But best of all was riding the White Rim Trail in a group of six , being the first on the trail from the government shut down.
We were waiting at the barricades as they removed them at 8:00 am Saturday , got right on the trail and never seen another person until half way around, two other bikers were coming from the other direction. We rode it counter clockwise.

So lets get started. I'll let the pictures tell the story.

On Interstate 70 through Colorado we entered the Eisenhower Tunnel in what looked like something that could turn bad.
When we exited the Eisenhower Tunnel we came out into a full blown blizzard, probably 1-2 inches of snow and ice pack on the road and a couple 100 feet visibility. After a few miles the road conditions started to improve as we went down in altitude. Then I was actually able to get my camera out and take a picture or two.

This is the 6 of us after we set up a base camp and decided to go for a little ride.

Base camp was out in the bush,

Many of you probably remember Michael{Tiger Mike} from the Ouray National Rally. He rode out there with us on the Tiger 1200.
Michael had practically no off roading experience prior to this ride.
He probably had 5 different Harleys since I have known him and right before the Ouray Rally I took him to the Triumph Dealer and he rode the 1200 and it was just what he needed.
So we started on this trail and told him we would keep it pretty easy. The more difficult the trail became the more he seemed to like it. We gave him advise on sand riding, standing up, and going up hills.

The trail ended at the Green River.

At the end of the day when we made it back to camp he wanted to go around the White Rim Trail with us the next day. I warned him that the most difficult part will be the last third when we are all really tired, but he was set to go.

That's all for tonight but I have a lot of good pictures coming so stayed tuned.

Looking forward to more! Passed through Moab last September...really wanted to do White Rim but didn't have time. You've renewed the itch.

The next morning we picked up camp and loaded everything on the bikes.
Matt and I had found an awesome rock outcropping the year before and we wanted to take them guys to it.
So we headed up Onion Creek road.
They have had lots of rain out there and it made Onion Creek road a blast to ride.

How would you like to ride this one at night? This could kill someone.

And here is our favorite outcropping.

I do not alter photos, This one just turned out like a painting.

That evening we made camp in the forest of Colorado close to the Four corners.

Colorado going over Wolf Creek Pass.

That's about it for this ride report, thank you all for reading.
May God Bless you and have fun riding.

I'm glad he didn't eat beans that day :D.
I was close to Utah when I went to Ouray. When I got home my bike was parked all day on my driveway and I was asking myself, what am I doing here so early??! I didn't even take the luggage out of the bike until the next day. :)

Thanks for a great ride report, with plenty of visual stimulation. I'm looking forward to getting my bike dirty somewhere like that
