Hi. Does anyone know if a National Cycle VStream windscreen will fit on a Madstad adjustable bracket? I have just installed a Madstad on my 2016 ST. I have the stock windshield on it now and just wondering what options I'll have if I need to upgrade from the stock screen. I haven't had a chance to ride it with the new setup yet so I'm hoping it will be better than the stock setup. It wasn't a bad setup as far as wind blast goes but I just didn't like the way the stock adjusters worked. And that bar cross bar is a joke. Thanks

Not the certainty that you may want, but it should. The Madstad will accept a stock windshield, so if the NC's mounting holes are all in the same places as the stock windshield, all should be well.

this would be the Vstream on a Madstad bracket, Gen. 2 bike:

here would be the Parabellum tall while we are at it:

'both fit fine. 'Stiill sorting out which one I like better but no question, the Parabellum is bigger. The
Gen. 2 bikes have a different mounting hole set up than the origional model so it you order a screen,
just make sure you are getting the Gen. 2 hole pattern & you should be fine. The Madstat for the Gen. 2
bikes has the same hole pattern as the OEM bracket.

For anyone curious, a Gen I madstad will fit on a Gen II bike and allow you to use a Gen I windscreen without drilling. One caveat, the brace bar will block your view of the turn signals. You can move the bar up to the front/back slider for full view of the signals. That will limit your ability to fully bring the windscreen back towards you. Not sure yet if that will be an issue, but if it is it looks easy to drill a new hole for the brace between the original hole and the front/back slider.

Thanks Rider33 for the pictures and the information. If you had to pick one would it be the V-Stream or the parabellum? I wouldn't mind going to a lightly tinted screen so that might cut down on choices.

The jury is still out on that one as the weather has not permitted me to put enough miles on the Vstream. The Parabellum is a barn door with better than 10 thousand miles of cross-country travel on it. I know that one works & quite well. What I don't know (yet) is if a slightly small tho wider at the top screen will eliminate the remaining wind noise I get. That may just not be possible on an ADV bike given
how far forward the screen in. One thing is for sure tho, either with a Madstad bracket is going to be a whole lot better than the stock arrangement unless you happen to be lucky enough to be the size of the guy they designed that for. The beauty of the aftermarket brackets and screens is that they let you dial that in for the rest of us. The challenge is finding the combination
that works best for you, a bit like identifying the right size and cut for a shirt.....
