I thought it was a little too early for literally. That will be in late June, when little nasty bastard cover entire walls. They die and then start to stink.

Last night we got 2" in about 2 hours. Lots of wind. Reports of 70-80mph. Lot of trees & branches down, and some lost electricity for about 12 hours. I was lucky, power flickered on an off, but then stayed on, and only lost a couple branches.

I feel for you. I thought when the kids are older and gone I will have time and money for all kinds of riding! WRONG! It seems like the older I get the busier I get. It is more likely the older I get the slower I get so my time for riding is shorter! haha.

We've actually been kinda mild. This last week was the first of our 90° days. They've been predicting inches rain for us for the last two weeks. Nothing. Clouds dry up before it gets here. I'm kinda worried 'cuz in the past, when we finally get it, it will be so much we'll flood. Rebuilding the front porch today. In the shade, but no wind movement.

Lots of folks claim they don’t get hot wearing a Aerostich suit.
im big fan of Aerostich , I wear Darian jacket (not about hot or cold) it keeps me as comfortable in extremes hot or cold better than any jacket on the market. I can say that because I've owned mesh , cold in the cold hot in the hot . bought my Darian , it just plain works . (3 minute pause , my coffee is ready )if you think being dry is good buy mesh . once you're sweat is gone your riding in a blow drier. the Darian you will be sweaty on a hot day , but as you ride air drafts through the vents and you get an evaporative cooling effect . you will be hot but tolerable as it does its thing . now cold days adjusting what layers under the jacket is simple and works , a mesh jacket and its cheap liner will still need layers . and before people get on me about this , I have a one year old KLIM ( 2nd most expensive jacket they make ) it is a very nice jacket , more comfortable in some ways and way better looking than my Darian . but it is hotter and does not vent as well as my Darian ... so I paid a lot for the KLIM and and will wear it for winter ( it does a good job keeping me warm ) one more thing , the Darian has kept me dry through all the rain ive ever ridden through , not sure the KLIM .... ok cycle dude you were talking about the one piece Aerostich suits , ive wanted one forever , but the cost , man the cost . yep its the cost that has kept me from buying one .... size 50 regular , add the one inch side gussets ,I have a bit of a belly , remove one inch above the knee add one inch below the knee , and make it in Hi-Viz with black abrasion patches . yep I want one . and it would be the R-3 , should work just like the Darian .

My one piece Roadcrafter is ok going down the road in hot weather but when you stop for a stoplight it gets pretty miserable and in cooler weather it’s pretty surprising how soon you have to start adding layers. I’ve been using mesh gear for a lot of years and it’s definitely my preference for hot weather but it definitely adds to the challenges when it starts raining or getting cold.
Also own a Klim Latitude for a few years now, so far it has always managed to keep me dry when riding in the rain.

Bragger. Of course it's gettin' to be that time of the year that rain isn't so great. Mid to upper 90s with an inch of rain is not comfortable to do anything outside.

its hot ... jeep drivers have put their doors back on ...
Nope, rain and groceries are the only times I drive the Jeep. After the rain chances dry up, the top and doors come off. Sometimes I leave the soft-top up for a sun block.
Got up to a very miserable 84 degrees here yesterday and today is supposed to be even hotter !
This time of year, our lows don't drop below 80° during the night, but the humidity goes up after the sun goes down.
