My theory is that "X" amount of rain falls across the country. Depending on El Nino/Nina, depends on what part of the country gets the rain. If one place gets extra rain, another place loses their share. I do believe in climate change, but I don't believe humans have much to do with it; 5 ice ages so far and we had zero influence on them.

I've noticed if Texas has a "wet" year, the Southeast is dry. I've been teased for ye-a-rs about paying so much attention to weather. I told them they would too if they spent 10hrs a day on a bike.

And Mike is right about terrain influencing sever weather. My understand is that KY didn't get all that much rain in inches, but it was too much . . . . too fast. My yard's the same way. If I get 6" in a 12-hour day, I'm good. If I get that same 6" in 6 hours, my yard will be under a foot of water.

Tricked again. No rain. Even the official rain gauge at DFW Airport missed out. The good news was that we've dropped below 90° before midnight for the first time in weeks/months; 84° at 6p.

been crazy busy at work , and have a new boss that has everyone on edge.

Yeah, they supposedly have the technology to predict hurricane numbers, but somehow couldn't predict the African dust crossing the Atlantic. That is why our predicted season didn't materialize. The dust in the air prevented the heating of the water, which in turn prevented the forming of hurricanes.

Some all around got rain yesterday, while Austin remained caught in the Supernada.

if all it takes is a little dust to kill hurricanes , there is your answer .... like a crop duster on steroids , just spread a little dust.

The DFW Airport got rain the other day. We didn't, so we're at 69/70 days without rain, and 50+ above 100°. I don't know how the airport is cooler than out in the country, except we're at a lower elevation.

They're predicting that this will be the last 100° day for a while; 49 so far. And, maybe a decent chance for rain; 60+ without so far.

Nah, it's drying up before it gets here. Did get 1.25" last night. On the bad side, were back up over 90°, so if feels wonderful.
