so it rained all day yesterday as I completed the purchase process , and today its still raining . so today im sitting in the overflow , computer room , were we hide all the junk that we cant hide anywhere else in our little house , a converted garage space. wife let me put the bike in there , so at least I can look at it as I look at you tube videos on how to ride a dirt bike. so I doubt I will be able to ride till next Saturday, oh wait our son is graduating from college and we will have a house full of family, so probably cant ride next weekend either. is going to take awhile to get its first mile on it im thinking.... oh, and then there is Christmas , I may have to make the first payment before I ever get to ride it.

No rain this Sunday, sunny and 55 degrees. Sounds like perfect riding to me! I'll be out riding the Tankere for sure.

finally stopped raining , and couldn't stand it anymore , so I rode it around the block...… have .9 miles on it now . it is cold natured and takes awhile for the carb to get happy, so I may name it the reptile , or snake , or lizard ….. it feels pretty snappy, and the pavement is damp, nice slow throttle hand to keep my ass from finding the pavement . feels light and skinny and tall and will take some adjustment on my part .

that is a cool idea AVGeek… so a giant reptile type creature destroying everything around it ( hopefully not me with it ) I like . Godzilla it is. you can order custom graphics and also have your name included in the graphics ( Godzilla ) would be interesting.

it is sunday morning, taking the bike to the local track for the first time.... put an enduro engineering skid plate on the bike yesterday so that part is done. and as I do not have any dirt bike type riding protection for me we will be (and as my skills are unknown at the moment ) riding at a sedate pace . the bike needs a break in as does the old rider. the MX track has a main track , and there is a beginners track . I will be hanging with the 5 year olds today. also the track has a trail set up that the owner keeps pretty well maintained ,I've been told. so its time to get to know my bike and start practice for better days.

my first ride report . had a 8 year old roost me, rode about 6.2 miles of trails for a total of 7.1 miles . hit a muddy spot and crashed.... first dirt bike crash , ouch! got a little cocky on a section I was riding for the third time and a small patch of mud bit me in the ass. I will be ok... bike is ok.... but will not ride again till I get proper gear... to much risk … I can see the add I will have to place " new honda for sell , 7.2 miles total , bike in excellent condition , rider not so much " don't want to have to do that. so rode around the MX track , first time ever , but other than the crash ,liked the trails better. my new sidi boots will be here this week , then I will shopping knee braces etc.. the bike is seriously cold natured , but once warmed up was great

On your way to everywhere, , Iowa
My boy and I just got home from Chadwick, Mo.
That place is great trails.
It used to be very ATV tore up but ATV are on the decline and there are more single track there than ever.
They even opened up a lot of the closed trails like Dairy Queen again.

I rode there in the very early 90’s and had a blast. Chadwick was almost mountainous compared to the trails I was riding in central Kansas!
Glad you’re enjoying your new Honda MH, post up a pic (action shot) when you get a chance.

can you consider a first gear fall over an action shot. ( thankfully only the squirrels witnessed my lack of skills , and they didn't have a camera )

Christmas eve across the land , here in Buda I sit in the overflow room as I call it and consider the blessings that have been given to me. I am not rich in money or things but i'm not lacking for either . at 60 years of age , I have my health , my wonderful wife , children and grand children who will gather here at my house tonight . to celebrate Christmas. I hope that we do , that's what we will remember , not the stuff we received. I hope and pray that all who read this have the best Christmas of their lives . what ever their circumstances....
