Just merged two nearly identical threads and we have had a few folks talk about how they would like a lighter clutch pull over the years.

Without saying directly who it is since I didn't ask him if it'd be OK to post this . . .

One of our Texas forum members who owns a business making motorcycle parts and customizing bikes, who owns a black Tenere . . .

;)

. . . is looking into making a slave like the one from Germany and is working up a price for a group buy. We'll put up a new thread to see if enough folks have an interest if and when he is ready.
Do keep us up to speed I would be interested!! ::024::

I don't mean to have another "negative post", but will just say I've ridden a half million miles on various motorcycles and the Tenere is the easiest clutch pull ever. Maybe the dual clutch transmission in the new Honda is what is the answer? Automatic in cars solved the clutch problems, auto on motorcycles? Not for me, but if your hand doesn't like pulling a lever may be a good option. Another idea is lube the lever pivots ect. Amazing how much easier clutch pull is when lubed vs dry.

I just received my clutch slave from OFF THE ROAD.

Waiting for a few other bits and bobs to surface before installing.

I will be ordering new SS extended clutch and brake lines to suite.

Any progress on this front?

During random forum viewing, I came across the Clake product line. I see no reason it couldn't be applied to any hydraulic clutch bike......and while the price isn't super cheap, it's not too bad either. Strong US dollar helps

I have just had one of the Off The Road slave cylinders fitted. Wow, so noticeable, not only is the clutch much lighter and smoother, but also the gear changes also seem lighter and the gears just snick into place. Definitely a worth while upgrade. :)

I'm sure they could make one for street bikes if they had the R&D time and interest. Keep in mind that with the current product, it's not designed for the realities of street bikes. Our clutch unit incorporates a mirror mount, handguard mount and uses a banjo fitting for the hydraulic line. Not to mention the large switch housing that may or may not be in the way.

Great product design and apparently quality is very good as well.

At least the OTR product is specifically intended for the Super Ten.

I'm confused....my clutch pull is heavy? The last "heavy" clutch pull I remember was on the KZ 1000; it had a cable. This is probably the easiest bike that I have ridden, to shift without the clutch at all; super smooth.
