Has anyone noticed that the light above the license plate seems really loose? I thought the actual mounting bolts were loose but when I checked them they were tight.

I can wiggle the whole thing quite a bit up and down. I cant tell if it is supposed to be that way for off road (made to give a little) or if something is wrong. I meant to take a picture of the range of movement it has, but I forgot. It looks like there are some spacers in there that I can see from the back of the bike.

I noticed that as well so I swapped the spacers around (from outside the fender to inside the fender) and it tightened it up. It still bounces/ wiggles but not near as bad as originally.

I saw that also and had the dealer check it and said everything was tight. Just the way it was designed.

On mine, a light single finger can move them up or down by about 1/4 inch. If I push a bit then maybe 1/2 inch up or down. Obviously they need to flex as this is a dual sport, but not sure what you think "loose" is. On my bike, they appear fine.

I have a floppy tail light as well, plus blinker lights, dash, etc., but the mechanic says it's perfectly normal. Lots' of rubber baby buggy bumper mounts on this bike. I'm pretty sure they are designed that way to absorb shocks. They aren't going anywhere. R

I am not concerned with the tail light flopping around. I am more concerned about my double chin and my man boobs flopping around.

Just wanted to say thanks. I just noticed this on my bike and got scared for a second, until I came here and was reassured it was all okay. Whew! ::022::
