Hi to all.I have a 2010 XTZ1200 and I've just purchased a Gear indicator that is shown on the link here.

Do anyone of you have the same installed? Is there any instructions and help info about? It will be very very useful. Also I am wondering where to find the speed sensor coupler,if there is anywhere,on the XTZ...
Thanks for any help,regards:)

I don’t have any experience with it on this bike but am curious why you would want one since it has already got a gear-indicator.

The gear indicator is the same N indicator that is the connector that is above the gearbox. The S10 2010-14, must have it (although it does not show it on the dashboard), that way it would be explained how it executes the "restriction" of the first 3 gears,
although it could also take the tr/m and speed ratios as a reference and from there know what gear it is in. But as Foosyerdoos says, Healtech, "pricks" directly the wires of the ecu

I need to ask because I may not understand the context correctly: What is the “restriction” of the first 3 gears of which you speak?

first 3 gears on the gen 1 were restricted in revs etc, i nearly sold mine 8 yrs ago it was horrible to ride thats why most of us get the bike ecu flashed to remove the yamaha restriction

Not wild about taping into the ecu. Has anyone successfully done this?. While the drain would probably be minimal our bikes suffer from an Undersized battery. When our batteries are slightly off their game the bike will not start.

Would also be curious as to how many 2010 bikes are in our forum. Seems to be a lot of 2012 and up. Perhaps a poll.

Also would be interested in how many miles are on the 2010?

The Super Tenere was released to the rest of the world in 2010, it was released to USA (Canada too?) in 2012. I'd bet the majority of the forum is from North America, so that would explain why we represent a lot of 2012 and up along with the fact that 2010-11 is two years of models and 2012-2024 is a dozen.

I have a 2010 as I was looking for low km. Mine had 17,000 on it for the second owner and, in the 4 months since I bought it, it’s now just under 26,000.
They don’t come up for sale often and some have a hard life and sellers still want top dollar.
