Have been reading reviews of this bike which they obviously rave about however the owners reviews trash it for reliability and mechanical problems. This is from English press MCN.

My daughter has one. 15,000 trouble-free miles. Only modification is a Delkevic exhaust to clear her soft luggage. Stock pipe interfered.

I don't why KTM is beat up so badly on reliability. My daughters' 200 EXCs which have been flawless (and they're 16 years old!). My 690 Duke has been flawless (6 years). My daughter's 790 has been flawless. Follow the factory service recommendations and you should be fine. KTM will sell you a factory service manual on a dvd for ~$35. i can't get the same document for my 2020 Toyota Tacoma! Dealer said that i was the first customer in 9 years to ask for one. They're online - you can buy access, and then just download to PDFs. My brother's 950 adventure was buggy, but his 1190 has been really good.

I had to put a new cam chain tensioner in a 25K miles in the S-10. Everything has its issues.
