Sport works great for roosting, but I find it’s a little jerky over large bumps and rocks.
Maybe I just need more practice.
I always used "T" on dirt, or in rain, "S" on street. On washboard roads, rocks, I was always jerky on the throttle also. In the "T" mode for me, smooth, no problem.

I considered the 790 myself but with all the issues they are having with it, I will stick with the s10 and 690 combo. I was going to downsize to 1 bike and considered the t7 but the 2 dealers I spoke to about trading the s10 gave me low ball offers so Im staying with what I have.

I prefer that combo (S10 + 690) I disassembled my combo, I sold my wr 450 2017, waiting for the T7 ... but I don't let go of the S10 ... it is my great cruise

I'm pretty happy with my SAS and 690 combo. Just back from 250+ mile day ride on the 690. Second time in a month I've done over 250 miles on a dirt bike. Absolutely love that thing.

Just acquired a gently used 2019 DR650 to compliment my 2018 ES.
WTF?? The DR650 eats as much or more gas than the Tenere.
Dealerships are crooks....trade in values really suck!.
So, I guess I will keep my Tenere for now at least.
BTY...both bikes are super stars when used in the application for which they were designed for.
