Hi guys,
I'v got my SuperT for two years now. It is a great bike and i love it. I have found a "hidden feature" yesterday, but i'm not sure if i like it or not.
I can turn the ignition on and then remove the key. Ignition still on, bike can now start and run. Is this a "hidden feature" or issue with ignition switch. I got 4 keys. 2 black ones, one red, one steel. Each key- same situation.

Any advice please? Or expirience?

I know a lot of old Chevys had that same "feature". Ford and Dodge ignitions never seemed as prone to it.

Could be a worn key. I had that happen on my Toyota truck. Arrived at my destination and went to shut off the engine - no key! It had fallen out and slid back under the seat. My spare could not be removed when in the on position so I made two new ones off the spare. The everyday one was visibly worn. On a bike if the key falls out and you've not got a spare your'e kinda screwed.

Had a 95 F150 that did the same thing. It was known for that truck. Had to replace key lock cylinder...then have separate keys for door and ignition...

I think that the tumblers in your ignition switch/lock may be worn out.

I wouldn't think the all metal key would work on a chipped ignition switch. As noted, the tumbler is bad if all the keys pull out. You might check with a reputable smith and see if there might be some way of getting things to re-engage. A good shot of brake clean to flush out debris and a shot of lube to follow up might get things to work right. The proper lube for a switch should be dry graphite, I personally like white lithium. The brake clean will evaporate fairly quick and won't leave a residue.
