hi everybody hope you all doing well , tomorrow i am about to receive my side cases together with the KLR2119 SUPPORTS for quick release ,looking at the installation instructions i start wondering if they will fit cause on my 2020 bike there is no metal passenger holder ... and it looks like i will need that 'spacer' that the metal handle adds on, please advise

I'm guessing you're in the UK/EU, since grab rails come on everybody else's; Z or ZE. Everything I've seen shows it's for Z or ZE, but only one part number. Which makes me think that a grab rail, or no grab rail doesn't matter.

I paid the extra for the grab handles so I could fit the Givi racks, but I have since found out you can buy spacers direct from Yamaha in the UK for models without the grab rails for about 26 quid. This link says it is for the standard luggage, but I assume it just fills the gap normally taken by the grab rails so should work for Givi. You could get someone to turn up spacers for you as well of course.

It should just be the spacers you need, in place of the pillion grab handles. Everything else should fit OK, including the connections to the back of the pillion footrest hangers.

Assuming you have all the correct parts in your kit checked off, maybe a few photos of the problem fittings might help us identify the problem.
this is the kit i have but it says is for 13-14 models ,mine is 2020 model ,one month old , and both GIVI & KAPPA give this one ,and it does not fit so most probably its there mistake, the distance between holes is 12mm bigger on subframe, also where it fits on rear peg there is 4 cm distance , i will call Italy tomorrow cause its really strange

I don't think there's any changes that have been made to the chassis. The picture shows different sized spacers, are there sized bolts too?

no , the screw on the kit is 8mm the hole in subframe 12mm, something is wrong … i will call and GIVI and KAPPA tomorrow and solve the mystery, also because subframe bore is 12mm you have to use 12mm screw....so there is no chance to pass a 12mm screw threw supports no V785R cause there hole is 10mm ( made for 8mm screw)
