Just when you think a custom bike couldn't get any dumber

These things are everywhere now, kind of like herpes. I think they even have a hydraulic lift in the back so you can raise it up high enough to actually ride it.

To each their own, I guess. Jesse James, OC Choppers, etc all seemed to make a good living from turning out barely rideable bikes, so someone must be buying the darn things.....

I like it, not to ride but to appreciate the 'art work' that is involved and the engineering that went into it to make it work. I also like custom hotrods.

I wish he'd taken the time and effort to take better photos with a better background. All that junk destroys the (crazy) lines of the bike.

I have a Valkyrie in my shed................;)

Well, like they say, art is subjective; there is no "bad" art, only art that doesn't appeal to you. And while I can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into producing something like this, the final product leaves me cold. To me, it's a caricature of a motorcycle, and the parts that it caricatures make it less appealing to me than the lines of a standard production motorcycle. I'm not exclusively a "function over form" type of guy, and I've seen art bikes that I like, but this current "big wheel" style turns me off as much as seeing $2500 bucks worth of wagon wheel rims on a '94 Caprice Classic.

I can agree with Dogdaze, and appreciate the skill required to build a bike like that. But, I guess I am stuck in "function over form". Because I instantly things that will cause me problems going down the road. The bike wasn't built for me, so as long as the owner is happy....But if we go riding, he is definitely going to be on my right, or behind me; that exhaust....

The pics show it parked. No side or center stand, it lowers when they stop and is designed to sit flat on the ground. Air bag or hydraulics. I think most are air bag. Easier to fab and install so it's all hidden.

Not my taste, but a lot of solid tech goes into these things. I've been told by owners that the 30" wheel actually rides pretty well, and is very stable at hwy speeds.
