As I am sure most of you are aware, Yamaha is unveiling a brand new 2015 model motorcycle in Austin, TX tomorrow - June 5th.

Anybody planning on going? I'm thinking of riding up there just to check it out, or I may go for the Friday or Saturday party they're having after the unveil, where I assume they will be showing whatever the new model is. Pretty sure it's the new FZ-07 689cc parallel twin, but who knows?

Maybe we could get a group together... Maybe meet up a AF-1 Racing shop in downtown Austin a little while before the Yamaha unveiling, just to check out the fine Italian bikes they have there, then go see what Yamaha has come up with.

Any takers? ::003::

Thanks!

Could it be the Tenere (not the Super Tenere) but a little brother?

I seriously doubt it, or that we will be getting a "little brother" for the Super Tenere here in the USA anytime soon, but one can always hope, right? ;)

But I guess there's no need for me to take a camera then, since nobody seems interested in the unveiling of this new model... ::025::

Please take the camera. We want pics! Would be a hoot if it was the Tenere, I could use a little brother for my Super Tenere.

I was kidding... But since Yamaha is unveiling the bike online at exactly the same time as the Austin, TX showing I'm pretty sure you guys will all see it at the same time I do. And needless to say, by the time I can ride home (which may not be until Friday), dump the pics off the camera, upload them to SmugMug, and then post them here there will already be tons of pictures and links all over the internet showing the new Yamaha! ::025::

Anything I post will probably be late, late, late... :D

It will be on line to dealers at 10 AM central time. I'll be watching then.

Is it definitely gonna be just one new model?

The notice just says "2015 Motorsports New Model Introduction Video". I guess that could mean one 2015 new model or more than one. We'll know in the morning.

I'm cutting hay, or I'd be into a ride to Austin!

Hey, Andrew!

Sorry to hear that. It'd be great to see you again.

I'll probably head up Thursday afternoon, but not by the Interstate 35 corridor BS. Probably up the back way to Seguin, then catch SH-130 up to Austin, go see the unveiling, then head home a back route, too. Lemme' know if you change your mind and want to meet up somewhere en route. There's sure some great places to catch a meal up that way! ::025::

And I need to get together with you one of these days to ask you a couple of questions, anyway.

Take care!
