I have tried brushed Ally and polished Stainless on my bike and I chose to go with the Carbon muffler in my kit, first for the looks, secondarily for the amazing deep tone only a well packed carbon muffler can offer, third for the low radiant heat carbon puts out, and finally for the light weight.
I am obviously biased but I believe this is the nicest looking and most aesthetically correct looking muffler for our bikes, regardless of color... I made it that way ::)

Remember, I said I BELIEVE = Mine is just another opinion.

Greg.
+1 Yep. That's why this is my most prized farkle! I've got loads of custom stuff for my bike, but if I had to choose only one, it would be this carbon muffler. It has the best look, by far, of all of the after market options, plus the sound! Oh the sound! I'm afraid that once I get it attached to my bike, I will be hypnotized by that sound and be stuck out in the barn until I run out of gas just listening to the great sound. :))

Hi Trevor,

Here's where I got my parts. I had them picked up to save on shipping, taxes and customs/brokerage. https://www.yamahagenuineparts.com

Here are the links to the different items
LED Blinkers (black) $89.95 CAD per pair http://www.yamahagenuineparts.com/TopPicks/moreinfo.asp?ID=326&shopcat=toppicks
Headlight Guard $125.95 CAD http://www.yamahagenuineparts.com/TopPicks/moreinfo.asp?PartNo=23PH41050010&shopcat=toppicks
Tenere Tank Sticker $35.95 CAD http://www.yamahagenuineparts.com/TopPicks/moreinfo.asp?PartNo=23PW07900000&shopcat=toppicks

Shipping to Michigan was going to be $54.69 CAD

Thanks! But... these links have a problem. I tried in 3 browsers and all told me cookies need to be enabled (and they were). Turns out that if you take the "s" out of https:// then it works. You do get forwarded to the https version of the page, but you need to go to the http: one first.

Headlight guard is the only thing I want - total cost $146 shipped to the US. Hmm - do I really want it or should I wait for alternatives???

Keeping it simple on mine since I want to keep the add on weight down to a minimum. I will be looking for stuff (junk) to remove to make up the difference to what I actually do add. ;)

OEM panniers with racks
SW Motech skid plate
Tank bag (probably the OEM one)

Splurge for a new ZUMO 660 or 665 GPS unit keeping my old 550 on the Bking and DR
Add on my existing Valentine1 radar detector with a simple cheap, light weight ram mount/platform

Weird with the links, oh well.

For me it was worth it as I didn't have to pay taxes or shipping. I looked at ordering from the UK but I figured any warranty issues would be a bitch to deal with, plus I like spending money in my home country! ;D

I also have Micatech panniers and the CalSci shorty tinted windshield waiting for the bike. I was lucky to grab the windshield before they raised the price by $30.

Managed to score a S-10 ordered for a shop today. (at least got my name on it). Been doing some reading and hunting for parts/accessories, but none of the Yamaha dealers seem to be able to order anything yet here. Pinged a Canadian dealer in B.C. and got the following parts pricing back. A bit on the spendy side, eh?

Side Wind Deflectors - 23P-F83M0-00-10 - $136.45 CAD
Headlight Guard - 23P-H4105-00-10 - $132.25 CAD
LED Turn Signals (blk) (2 sets) - YME-W0789-00-00 - $197.90 CAD
Tank Protector - 23P-W0790-00-00 - $39.55 CAD

Total with shipping would be 566.89 CAD or $580 USD.

Ouch!

Maybe I'll just order the headlight guard and LEDs. I would hope that the deflectors and tank protector will eventually hit the US dealers.

Suggestions before I bite the bullet and order from Canada? Dealer is www.pacificmotosports.com
