I haven't seen any mention of an aftermarket horn. Is the horn on this bike better than most? A person does have to get the attention of the cell phoner/texter!!

Nope just your typical bike horn. Single unit unlike the FJR's double. As for the cell phoner/texter .... they look so much better with the permanent imprint of a Bridgestone Battlewing emblazoned across their foreheads.... don't you think? ;)

I would agree with the Battlewing tread print on the forehead.
I put a Fiamm low tone horn on my Versys and it really makes a difference. They can hear it.

Pre-installed and happy with:
-OEM panniers, after lubing the locks
-OEM skid plate
-OEM headlamp protector

Added myself:
-OEM touring screen and wind deflectors, don't feel need for adjustable windscreen bracket
-OEM heated grips
-Tank protection, top and sides

To be added:
-OEM top box, once I get recall replacement rack
-Additional/supplemental front lighting, OEM if I feel rich some day

Maybe:
-GPS
-Bag connections tank lock and tank bag to replace my old Givi
-Crashbars, if someone comes up with more subtle, but functional bars

I forgot about these. I'm using the TechSpec ones on my FJR and am VERY impressed!!!
I am just using some nasty, cheap plastic film on the sides as a temporary measure whilst trying to find a nicer solution. Side tank protection is one thing you need to get on this bike almost as soon as you get it.

Check out the TechSpec stuff. The "snake skin" option is what I use and am VERY pleased with it. They do not have a ready-made kit for the SuperT (yet), but you can buy sheets of it and make your own very easily. I did this on my KLR and they turend out fine.

Thanks. Will look into it. I have had no luck trying to find something decent locally. The clear film is also very hard to get a good looking result, at-least for me...

The beauty to the Techspec stuff is that it has a nice texture to it and makes it easy to grip the tank with your knees. It is also (somerwhat) re-positionable, and yet does not easily peel off.

I have used the Tankslapper kits made for my ST1300's succesfully for years. I got the optional 3M kits that are semi permanent and have gotten pretty good at installing so that it is practically invisible. I am sure it will be a while before he has kits for the Super T. One can buy the 3M material and cut it out, but it is difficult for me to get the nice edge cuts of the kits. I'll probably make some out of the spare pieces I have until a kit is available. I have the same 3M stuff installed as scuff guard on two cars and it works well on front areas there also.

I bought a pack of the TechSpec sheet for custom cutting. Pricey but really good.

Wow!
You guys are into far more farklization then me;
I'll do the OEM side bags.
I'll add a skid plate (probably ADV) and an engine guard...which one I'm undecided as of yet...I want to hear from earlier buyers what they like/dislike.

I'll continue to use my Moto Bag expandable tank bag (which I like a lot) and my old trusty tourmaster tail bag...had it for 15 years now.

Enough space to pack for a 7 day camping trip....

BTW...I would welcome comments on engine guards...anyone try the OEM one yet?

hey keeponriding, the OEM crash bars, most are saying there isn't enough tip over protection for when the bike does go over. Sure it will protect the engine, but not the upper side panels, LS and RS. This is where the SW's and ALT's will do a better job. Decision is just yours on what to buy!!!

Goodluck!!!
