Looks like the guy was on a scooter and the S 10 was having a hard time keeping up.

Takes some big (or maybe none at all) balls to jump a curb with a scooter. Worked so good the first time he had a second go at it, too bad for him. :p

Yup, maybe one of those 650 cc scooters? The video quality doesn't help ID it :)

Nah. You want to keep a little distance between you and the runner. So, when he screws up, and crashes, you don't crash into him. You also have to make sure the other cars see YOU so they don't hit you. That was damn near textbook.

Scooter appears to be the BMW C650. Actually fun and fast but I'm surprised it survived the first curb hop w/o an electrical malfunction! Being in "HOT PURSUIT" of a guy on a scooter just can't sit well with Israeli or any other PD. Jim Dangle might disagree... ;)

Sayeth the expert!

I was surprised the officer wasn't on the radio.

And, I have to ass-sume that Israel may have been using the Tenere for quite a while....since that was a Gen 1 and all. But, they might have fitted some '19 rims on it.

Yup, especially in a city. It is very rare they will be able to sustain any real speed. Back in the 80's when I was in patrol, we had the Ford LTD's with the 5.0 in them. They were fast, but the power was useless in the city, and a big Chevy Caprice did just as well.

What did he do wrong? Guilty because he ran? Cop having a bad day and needed someone pick on? Traffic cops not popular here. Plenty of support for real cops but not someone like this putting lives at risk and causing an accident for a suspected broken tail light.

To answer your question, is a pigeon hole that really doesn't belong here. We don't have all the facts of what prompted his action, and the law's in Israel.

Strange comment, obviously we didn’t see that part of the video. Whatever he did was before this video began. It might have been as simple as an expired tag or maybe the scooter had been reported stolen. A million possibilities.
